If you are playing Iron Banner on a below lvl29 toon....
....please stop.
Yes in IB you win or you lose its natural in a PvP setting but the only times that I have lost by a gap of 10k+ has been when half or more of my team is below lvl29. You could have Vex, Murmur, and Hunger max'd out but if you are running around at level 25 you will die quicker against a lvl31 using an unmax'd Grim Citizen.
Please stop playing IB on below 29s its really annoying because no matter how well the 29+ players are doing even good teamwork will not win the game.
Edit: OHKO players below lvl 29 with body shots from a brand new Icebreakers says a lot of what I mentioned above. My half max'd Thorn 3/4HKOs players as oppose o normal Crucible where its a 2/3HKO
Edit #2: to all the responders who say to stop whining so on and so forth...forgive me if I actually want to win a match and gain reputation. I am not an MLG player but if I or another 29+ player was top player of the match and a team lost because all the other players were lower lvl, hence die quicker its a problem. So I will yield to the idea that IB should have better matchmaking (20-25, 26-29, 30+)

Does iron bamner end tuesday im only lvl28 as highest I do decent but people with vex or suros pick me off easily or any maxed out gear. Big difference from 28 and 32 it seems still want the iron banner loot only lvl2 1/2 but with the gear and my exotic knuckle head helm maxed I should hit lvl31 also if my helmet is already maxed can I still upgrade it threw agent of the nine or how does thay work I see people with maxdd exotics with defence of 443 mine is maxed at 402.

I understand you wanna get them loot but its really frustrating going on a 10 game losing streak only to hand in the five medallions you can hold at a time. And to top it all off, getting Blind Watch 50 times in a row doesn't help. Almost rank four though so its alright I guess

This cost me a few times last night. Had a few teams with 22-24 level players. They ended up with .02-.03 K/D ratios. We lost two games in a row. I went to orbit afterward and rejoined a fresh crew of 29-32 level players and we ripped off five or six straight wins.

It's funny to see level 26 and under players in IB. They put up some of the best K/D's ever...I saw a Level 21 with a .03

Very annoying. I'm also by no means a great player, especially when bounties drive me into sub-optimal load outs, but I'd like to at least feel like I have a chance. It be nice if there was two levels of IB and like a level threshold to get in them. I recall a couple iron banners ago playing on a team with like a 10 and an 8 who must have been brought in with a friend. Like what's even the point?

3 RepliesIB buffs lowers lvl characters to make them just as lethal. Odds are that they don't have as much experience yet and thus aren't performing as well. Its also why some weapons that aren't maxed still perform well. They IB is meant to level the playing field in the Crucible.

Early in the morning, got really lucky and put in a game where every single player was level 27 to 29 except for one level 20. Needless to say after seeing the roster I started licking my chops. Being the only level 31 was a huge advantage. I had so many LOL moments. Especially when I was defending B on Delphi and felt a slight tapping on my shoulder. I whipped around and it was the Level 20 trying to melee me. After I absorbed 3 blows with no damage, swiped at him once and he was done. He was probably seeing ???? for any damage he tried to do.

My buddy has a level 28 Hunter, (he just started it a week ago) he's been owning at Iron banner. 2.50+ k/d every game and usually top 2 or 1 (depends on if I had a better game than him or not) It's not your level, it does help, but it's more about your skill.

We had two guys at 28, and I used my favorite rare AR. We won 8/10 games.

I had a 28 and 21 on my team last night..... the 21 had a .09 K/D.... but the worst part is, we STILL would have won if that douch didnt go take the third zone and switch our spawns....

Saw a level 14 in the last IB lol. Thorn one shot headshotted him. In IB 2, I witnessed several 23s wrecking with snipers and fusions. If you have a max weapon it's fine.

Let people play the way they want too, they paid the money to get the game. They will play as they please
