Question why are most Christians quick to call Islam evil
When Christianity has a checkered past I mean did they forget about the inquisition (gotta love being burned at the stake for questioning the church) the crusades but yeah it annoys me that people are quick to judge these days

Why are people so quick to say that it's the Christians saying Islam is evil? Seriously, after a lot of terrorist attacks, people from all over the world have anger and hatred (wrongfully placed) toward Islam. Yes I'm a Christian, but I don't blame Islam or Muslims for terror attacks. It is extremist Muslims, (also extremist Christians (West Borrow Baptist Church)) that do evil things.

4 RepliesDepends how you look at it. The Catholic Church, does have a lot of blood on it's hands and has even gotten dirty playing politics (British and Italian history). Islam, at least radical Islamist, behead children, bomb buildings, and fly planes into skyscrapers. They even get dirty with politics too. They've also started several wars (Syria, Libya, Egypt.) Nobody mentions the Atheists though. Stalin, Lenin, and Mussolini. Which killed several thousands of people in their own countries.

Ahhhh the ignorance it's just part of human nature to hate those of different belief than you and no religion is immune to this rule. They all do some things that seem on the radical end and atheists who clearly have never been involved with religion call it a scam. Human nature folks it'll come and go

1 ReplyBecause the term "Christian" is used for more then just "Christianity" now. You've got four square Christians, Mormon Christians, Catholic Christians, Fill in the blank Christians. You name it, they'll throw on the title but teach something completely different. Like, "all you gotta do is accept him into your heart and you will be saved." Like what is that?? Lol. That's found NOWHERE in the bible.

It's actually pretty simple. The Crusades and the Inquisition: blatant misinterpretations of the Bible. Islamic extremism: literal interpretations of the Koran.
