post dlc, perks not stacking?

Bungie - can you confirm that the "carry more ammo for <type> weapons" perk isn't meant to stack? My titan runs with Armamentarium, which has "Carry more ammo for heavy weapons", which puts my Harm's Way HMG at 196 bullets. Adding Kabr's Forceful Greaves, which also has the "Carry more ammo for heavy weapons" perk, still ends up with 196 bullets. (Even after dying, using the hmg, getting an ammo drop. All within the same mission, but wouldn't think that would matter.) Perks really seem like they should stack - if they don't, that's an important game mechanic to know, and should somehow be made more obvious. Is the same true for other perks, like melee speed? EDIT: As of 1/12/15 I can definitely confirm that, at the very least, the heavy ammo perk doesn't stack when combining Armamentarium and Willbreaker's Greaves. I tried all three of the options: (each piece alone and both together) using a 4-rocket launcher, a 6-rocket launcher, and a heavy machine gun. Load it up until you can't grab heavy ammo anymore, fire down a little, switch loadout, repeat. Same number of bullets or rockets every time. I haven't tried doing the same thing with secondary ammo, melee speed, etc, but I'm positive I don't get more heavy with those armor paired. (If someone has an example they can show with it *definitely* making a difference post-dlc on this or different armor, please post!) Its made me rethink my armor - Armamentarium makes a lot less sense knowing I don't get extra heavy from it. I miss the second grenade, but using Alpha Lupi instead means I've got increased heavy, special, *and* auto ammo, leaving my gloves and helmet to perk auto reload and whatever goodness I can find in a helmet. Good luck out there Gaurdians!

  • Per Bungie reply: "MY EXTRA HEAVY AMMO PERKS ONLY GRANT ONE EXTRA BULLET. All weapons have a cap on ammo reserves; the ammo cap is dependent on magazine size. If you have a gear upgrade that increases heavy ammo to your weapon's ammo cap, it will only add one round to the ammo reserves. Please plan your perks accordingly. " Aha! Good to know, and good to see a Bungie response! Looks like I can try stacking melee speed, at least...
