Patrols should be a free for all
Yeah i said it.
Yeeah, there will be some trolls, but it would make the game fun again.
Anyone else agree?
Edit: Imagine going to earth with your clan and killing everyone in sight... Or imagine actually having the challenge of surviving if people are trolling a certian spot. This is the wild we're talking about.
Edit2: Yes, it should be optional. Perhaps you can turn it on and off by pulling out your ghost and hitting the dpad like you do voice chat.

How about if your wearing a dead orbit class item; new monarchy and future war cult can attack (and vice versa etcetera). Don't want to play? Take off your cloak.

1 ReplyI think this could be fun. When you select patrol there is a change difficulty option that promptly changes "patrol ______" to "______ wilderness" and you may kill anything that can move. And you wouldn't have to worry about a k/d or anything if you're that kind of player because it would not count towards your crucible stats. Also you wouldn't really have to worry about trolls because you could leave anytime you want and there's no penalty. Also, perhaps a reward system? Maybe they could have rare, randomly spawning chests with no preset locations (meaning they could literally end up anywhere) and have the same mechanics as the other chests (meaning others can still get rewards after someone else has opened it) but reduce the timer before the chest disappears. These chests would have chances to drop rare, legendary, and possibly even exotic items just like the regular chests (usually) drop uncommon items. Also maybe "bosses" (like story and strike bosses) could spawn at random times and random locations (we know all to well about Bungie's, we'll say... fascination for randomness, and they could have a chance to drop loot kind of like public events but much harder to kill and with better rewards. It would put a twist into the game because you would have to choose whether or not to help or harm each other. By no means do I have expectations, but I do think it could be a cool idea.

If it's optional, that kinda makes the premise invalid because we have PvP otherwise. This idea would just lead trolls. Sure I suppose it would be "fun" to just kill someone in passing who's going about their business but that's really just a dick move when you think about it.

Not up for this but I would like a king of the hill zone in pve, just a zone you enter it will say now entering a koth area, one guardian needs to hold and say for every 10 mins he would be rewarded, other guardians could only shoot the king to stop cheating.

If there was an optional waste lands that is in pvp then yeah cool...otherwise it would get tedious fast.
