I commonly see posts on the forums about a destiny firefight/horde mode. While many people have had great ideas about it, i figured i would present me own. Every single post i have seen has the same idea. 2-3 maps with options for fire teams of 3-6 members. Increasing difficulty with each round. These ideas are all great, they are. But if you're like me, you want more than just a simple map you set up camp in and fight off wave after wave after wave, because it obviously becomes REPETITIVE. So how do you make it more interesting and add re-play ability? The answer, to me, is simple: Create a map that keeps you constantly moving! Think of the raids! You constantly move from one area to the next to fight different bosses. Why not make this survival mode we all want the similar? Force the guardians to keep moving and adapting. After each round maybe a portal or a door opens to take them to the next space, that would be a different map, with different enemies, sometimes there would be 2-3 portals/doors, giving the guardians options to work their way to that final round. Each area would have to be different to make the choices actually have an impact (and add replay ability) and after every 3,5,or 10 rounds, there will be a break between fighting areas, instead the portal will take you to a holding room with a chest. These chest will contain anything from materials to gear to coins. And increase in rarity of items with progression through rounds. And possibly after the final round (if there is one!) the chest will have a chance to contain a brand new type of equipment. Similar to raid gear, it will be survival gear! So what makes it different than raids? -increasing difficulty starting at 1 -no bosses (could be changed) -no need for relics -no level requirement -no checkpoints (could be changed) -portals can lead you to variety of enemies. Not just vex, hive, etc Why is it good? -more replay ability -adds gear to create more variety -pleases what fans want
