you really have no concept about what i'm talking about do you? Don't make a comment unless you have something useful to say. this wasn't about me in anyway, it was about the GAME.

  • Don't tell me what to do! No really though. I get it. Why not have done something with longevity and uniqueness? A shader, an emblem, a title, something. But instead of providing a well thought out argument with good example of ideas, you insult them. Your thread might have been about the game, but what I responded to was your comment. The people agreeing with me probably agree with you, but when you present your discontent like a jerk, no one is going to fall in line behind your opinion. Fact is, you have exhausted a finite resource. I've seen a ton of people stoked about their gift and I still play with people using blues. Neither you nor me are representative of the community. We're hardcore players, but hardcore players are for a reason, they like the game and believe in it. I wouldn't bring time value of money into your argument unless you want it applied both ways.

  • My first statement about the money was more about the $500 million that was supposedly invested in this game and not much has really been seen that would justify this amount. The money that i paid was pointed more twords the fact that free to play games had more of a holiday theme than this game. I would have expected (and did) more from bungie. This being the first major holiday for this game and really nothing to make it stand out in any way.

  • This game is smoother, more graphically beautiful, and immersive than most games, but that's all opinion, more the fact that $500 million, this number that keeps getting thrown around, was it all towards coding? Cause $500 million generated more hype around this game than any other i've seen. Regardless, in WoW, you would've already paid about $90 base game, dlc, subscription, and Bungie has proven that they are making a lot of changes that are what the players want. DLC was bigger than most other games (CoD a gun and 4 maps? geez we have short memory). inb4, a lot, not all, the point of that is to say that in most games with as much communication and change as Destiny would often require continuous funding, which Destiny doesn't have (microtransactions, ads, subscription fee). We won't get everything, but to say this game isn't high quality is a lie. I'm with you, really. I am 100% disappointed that we didn't get something more timeless, that Halloween was such a sham, that the first holiday showed nothing but in-game scrap. But they've listened. They heard how much we hated engram RNG, Iron Banner nonsense, grinding for mats, weapons buffs/nerfs, and storylines and how we interact with them. You won't get a solid holiday by making a post that insults devs. You just come off as a prick, not as a concerned Destiny gamer that wants to make more happen. Tell them what you want, don't insult for failure (which is purely subjective anyway)

  • i have, and so have many others. the dev's don't care what the players say/want. This seems to be evident from what they did implement. Tower chat? that was useless. The cryptarch? the only thing they did there was give out less legendary. The mat sales was interesting but i didn't hear many players whining about that until after it was implemented. the weapons? there was no need to nerf/buff any of them. the only reason they "fixed" the exotics was because the DLC was coming out, not because of the players. There have been multiple posts about larger inventory, access to the inventory from ship, different ways to actually improve game play and style. So far all have been ignored.

  • You're just proving that this is subjective stuff. The DLC brought the Sword mechanic back, something tons of players talked about. I heard plenty complain about mats, particularly a clan member of mine who needed 600 helium filaments (he counted) to upgrade just his gear for his alts The weapons absolutely needed nerfs and buffs (though I truly believe nerfing the Mythoclast was BS, made sense for PvP, but not PvE) The game drops less legendary engrams, but people don't complain about it as much. There are a lot of ways to make changes, but the problem is, as others have mentioned, is that people don't thank fixes they complain about problems. It's the entitlement that the guy above was talking about. They made the servers and KTOs WAY less prevalent, nobody mentioned that, you still see complaints about KTOs when it's really just someone's internet sucking. You aren't going to see when a fix goes well, just like you don't see people go to the counter of a Taco Bell to thank the cook for making the meal perfect. You expect perfection and complain about imperfection, but no game ever will meet everyone's standards of perfection. There should be an endless pursuit thereof, but in the same vein, when something is nearing perfection, there should be recognition by the observer, something this community will never do because, wait for it, it's full of entitled punks. There have been great and positive changes. The shader chick actually refreshes her inventory, less server issues, party chat works, but guess what, it wasn't what Destiny needed because the complainers are a small section of the greater population. You are proving the point that people complain about their priorities and those priorities are only emboldened by how many other people complain about them when the rest of us, who have realistic expectations, are too busy enjoying the game or trying to bring up real issues and real possible changes to the game to rally and strike against this childishness pervasive in the forums. Ironically, the posts that are trying to make real change and actually have beneficial feedback are often drowned out by bitching about the gift that didn't fit peoples' expectations.
