The vex are an alien race that come from another universe, this is the same universe the darkness comes from. [b]more on the universe in the darkness section of the compendium[/b] They are a parallel to our version, the precursors, which can be found in the vault of glass and in the black garden during the undying mind strike. Both of these places are in flux with time which leads me to believe precursors only wish to exist in those types of worlds. The black garden might even be an inbetween universe section, a bridge if you will. The vex came to our universe through the black garden bringing the darkness with them. As the traveler gave us abilities it's "dark mirror" gave the vex abilities parallel to our own only different in the atomic structure. The hobgoblins use a form of radiant skin when hit, this is why it takes them a short period of time to use it again. They could also be said to use an interpretation of golden gun. The goblins use a sunsinger melee. The minotaurs can be said to use shoulder charge. It is this belief that leads me into the future of the vex. I believe they will become more and less organic, revealing closer powers to our own. It has been suggested that a Phoenix vex would be created, just like a bird our screeches it's arrival and swoops in for kills. Only a headshot will down it in one go, anything else and it rises a second time stronger than before.
