Easy fix for most crucible related problems right there.
Nobody spawns with special ammo in the beginning, and the only way to get it is via killing other players and picking up the drops. If you die, you drop all your special ammo.
Wow! Simple! Much amazing! Such smart!
Fuk you bungie for making this into a Fusion rifle / shotgun fest, if I wanted that I'd go back to playing Quake 2 ... Oh wait, not even Q2 was this bad since they implemented the Rail gun in Q2! Idiots at Bungie, I swear to God

OR do this: Reduce special ammo spawns, and reduce the ammo you get from them! Wow! Simple! Much amazing! Such smart! Ahem, the map size kinda forces you to use a shotty or a fusion rifle

How to fix your shotgun/fusion rifle problem. Step 1. BACK UP. Step 2: Don't chase people behind cover or run blindly into rooms. Step 3. Learn how to read your motion tracker. Rinse....repeat.

1 ReplyOr do... nothing. I like it just the way it is. Instead of changing the game change the way you play.

Nope they. should not mess with the ammo they need to nerf the shotguns and fusion rifles point blank these one hit wonders need to be reconstructed from the ground up. The range on some are to either to short or to far. You should not have a shot gun or a fusion rifle blasting in one shot from across the map.

4 RepliesThe whine is strong in this one.

9 RepliesNO. If you keep dying the same way then change your tactics. There's nothing wrong with the current ammo setup in crucible.

Edited by Ethsentray: 1/7/2015 11:35:26 AMAnd I assume snipers should have to run across the map and personally pick up the ammunition from their kills?
Since no legendary or exotic has the "shoot to loot" perk this would rule out sniping in the Iron Banner, or everyone would use Ice Breaker.
Like heavy ammo there should only be a couple of drops
-
1 ReplyI see no problem starting with ammo. The bigger issue is how often Shotguns/FRs spawn with ridiculously unbalanced stats. I've gotten an FR from crucible that, when upgraded, basically fired instantly. And I've seen shotguns with higher range than some rifles, plus the reduced spread perk. That's why those two weapons rose to the top of the list, I think

Just nerf fusion rifles like everyone has been telling them since day 1...
-
Well then they would have to change the bounty for fusion kills for thorn. Because if you run out of ammo then get killed it would take away from your bounty total. People would just boost to orbit after running out. They should take all the bounties out of pvp anyway. You got the bounties doing shit in pve then they tell you that you have to goto pvp. It's stupid.
-
Or just make it spawn in with heavy ammo 1 mag
-
2 RepliesThat would make it even bigger of a shotty fusion spam and puts snipers at a big disadvantage because i dont wanna run across the entire mao just for ammo
-
Edited by IrishTheSavage: 1/5/2015 11:33:10 PMi would have even more ammo lol i pick up a couple a match imagine picking up 20+ from kills

Don't agree necessarily with solution, but the problem is valid. Too much special ammo available. Heavy feels perfect.
-
1 ReplyI don't think I'm as fanatical as you for this change. But I still support it. Special ammo is way too common in crucible.
-
Crucible should have utilized a load out system for weapons. Ammo should drop from enemies with the rare exception of heavy ammo. Crucible currently takes some of the best gunplay in the fps genre and craps all over it.

If u don't like it stop playing Smh

1 Replyomg,i cant belive it a post that makes sense

1 ReplyDude, this is one of the best ideas I have ever heard on this forum. Special weapons are WAY too overused. No more ammo crates will mean people will be more conservative about their special ammo, and make primaries more useful. However, if this is implemented, the Icebreaker will be the most popular PvP weapon, because you get around the ammo crate problem.

Yes. Spawn with ammo, but drop it when you die just like heavy weapons. Fusions don't one hit kill mobs at 50ft away, they shouldn't do that to players. Another big help would be to do away with precharge. You have people running full out blinking through the level, charging up the fusion rifle. Last second before it fires, repeat. If you start the charge, it should fire. Period. Hell most of the problems with fusion rifles would be fixed right there.

not for me... i snipe
-
But u have a fusion rifle on 2 of your characters (not including vex myth)
