I know a lot of people love it, but I'm not sure how some of you others feel about it. Is it not Halo anymore to some of you?

No skill gap. At all. And grenades have never been more of a problem.

2 RepliesIt's the new call of duty
-
I don't trust it.

I think we all have, by human nature, a dislike to change. So narturally the vast majority of the older players will loathe this new play style. At first, I disliked it too. The ADS was more cringeworthy to me than a thirsty white knight neckbeard. But, aftering thinking about it, I came to realization that the change's don't make too much of a difference. ADS isn't anywhere as significant in other shooters so its atleast retaining some aspect of "True Halo." Now, my only problem is that the normal halo button layout doesn't work for me with Halo 5.
Change sucks, but, it's atleast managable.
It's a tragedy

I'm loving it, a change for the best I say. It's keeping the series fresh and lively
-
I feel like it feels a hell of a lot more like halo than 4 did. I love it and I'm definitely excited to jump into the game and play the hell out of halo multiplayer again :)

I can't quite get used to sniping with the reticle in the middle of the screen. Other then that no complaints.

7 RepliesEvery step 343 took in the CoD direction in Halo 4 they've taken back and then some for Halo 5 from what we've played. It feels small and arena like the OG Halo 2 games I used to play while adding only a few more features that work well/make sense for a super soldier to have (i.e climbing up a ledge, booster pack). Dropping custom classes was the best decision they could've made. Equal starting load outs really make the game about teamwork and power weapon control. And I'm serious about teamwork. The maps are small enough that lone wolfing it will likely land you between two pussies on blue team (red team FTW) who'll kill you. Sticking with your team will definitely increase your chances for survival. The main complaint I've seen is about the smart scope/sprint and I assume it's from people who haven't actually played. Zooming in isn't as much of an accuracy boost to most weapons bar the sniper so using it isn't that viable. In the meantime, those that do use smart scopes will find that taking any damage will descope you, which really balances the game in my opinion. Same with sprint, the lack of recharging shields while sprinting forces players to spend less time sprinting around the map and more time being cautious. All in all, I think this a great step in the right direction for Halo after the last one. How well the story will add up... Well that will have to wait to be seen.

I like it it feels like I can move around in it
-
2 RepliesIt's fine I guess, I mean I feel like they HAD to move the series forward and add things like ADS and the boosting and the maneuverability are cool (although kinda seem like a rip off of AW, which in turn kinda feels like a ripoff of TitanFail). But honestly I feel like 343 flailing in the dark with no direction. Bungie knew what they wanted Halo to be, they created it and that vision was what the game was gonna be. But with 343 it's like they're trying to appease too many people, trying to make a game for everyone. Either way the Halo 5 beta has yet to really capture, especially since I spend all my gaming time playing Destiny.

I like it a little bit

Honestly, I am liking the story. I am a nerd and I fell in love with Cortana. I hope Master Chief brings her back to life and then he can somehow make a human body-clone like, with cortanas mind/conscious and then they end up together amd have wild animal sex and make babie master chiefs and live happily ever after. yep, thats what I want to happen.

1 ReplySo far, I really like it, especially now you can aim down sights with the AR!

Poo poo ka ka.

So far this is fun. But it feels like Crysis meets 007 Agent Under Fire. Really different. Again, fun enough, but totally unfamiliar.

Edited by ch33zy burrito: 1/3/2015 5:21:02 AMI don't care anymore. Deep down I do but in reality I don't. Its hard to explain and i'd love to play it but if it means going out of my way to get the game then I guess I've moved on.

I'm okay with having the fond memories of halo ce, 2, 3 and reach. Bungie pulled out at the right time and I respect them not wanting to be the ones to ruin the series. I've moved on, just like I've moved on from ff 7-9 or the first fable or cod 2 and 3
