I encourage you to show everyone proof that anyone has been banned for doing this. Disclaimer: I prefer to do it the legit way but, I'm also not worried about how others play the game as it doesn't have any effect on me. Edit: And before you direct me to the all knowing Google, been there done that. The only things that come up is speculation. That's not proof.

If they banned everyone who's done this, why did they not ban everyone who pushed atheon and the Templar, it's exactly the same?

Because pushing the Templar off is not exactly the same as manipulating a console to achieve a win or yanking out a ethernet cord. It violates the ToS. Pushing the Templar off involved in-game mechanics as a work around. What the OP is suggesting is using something outside of game to manipulate the system, like the system's OS. It's two different things.

They still won't ban anyone, they'll patch it and get on with it, so many have done it that future dlc and games sales will be severely hit if they did. Does anyone know how this glitch/manipulation came about, did someone get disconnected at that exact point and this happened?

People already has been ban for doing that glitch and ethernet cord pulling though. I don't know how it came about. LOL, you're talking about gamers. Some gamers just have plenty of time to find every exploit they can think of.

They can't ban you your game could have crashed and also they would ban the majority of their playerbase

That's your line, huh? LOL! You gotta think man. First, if they come across your account, they will check for unusual activity. They will check your raid history. They will watch how you do it and things such as, going to your menu then instantly returning or yanking a ethernet cord out of your system, is going to put a red flag up. Not to mention, if players report you using the exploit (as players can report the dummy OP), your account can be banned. The real question???? I think you're missing the point :P I only posted this for all the people eho aren't as good as you and me, the ones who have a job and can't play destiny often, the ones who have kids and can barely get on to catch up, the ones who can't communicate with people to team up for a raid, the ones who just can't after trial and error get good enough for this game. I love bungie and the challenge it gave us, but some of us have lifes and other things to do that are far more important, me on the other hand have plenty of time amd can destroy crota with my hunter solo no problem. But if you got this game for Christmas and realize that you started late, aren't good at it, and can't seem to defeat crota...? You wouldn't play the game anymore. That being said, you can do crota legit But let noobs do their thing. Me and you wouldn't want to carry a noob in our team. Be in their shoes, friend :) -Reemu

So the point is to teach people how to cheat an easy boss that any average player or below average can beat? It takes teamwork, following instructions, sticking to specified roles, knowing when to take cover, communication and last but not least teamwork. So I think you missed the point. You're teaching noobs how to get their account banned. You're teaching noobs a trend that will start here and continue in every raid. Because then they will never learn how to "knuckle up". They will always go for the easy way out. That's terrible.
