So I've seen a lot of people having a rough time with the new exotic Sniper No Land Beyond... Cheer up guardians, this sniper doesn't need to collect cobwebs in the vault. Check out these tips if you can't get into a groove with this new sniper!
5. Before you do anything else...
if you wanna use this weapon just don't even compare it to any other weapon in the game. It is its own unique weapon.
4. Practice makes perfect
Practice in a PVE patrol before just blindly running into the crucible with this gun. Honestly any other sniper in this game I can pick up and have success in the crucible. I rarely have a game below a 1.0 Kd and if I do it's because I'm goofing off or letting my friends play. First time in PVP with this sniper I went .8
Walk before you run. Start with taking your time and lining up perfect head shots and slowly try to get faster at acquiring targets.
As said before it's different than other snipers and is going to take a little getting used too.
(I personally just grabbed some vanguard bounties and patrolled the cosmodrome working on getting used to the sights and slowly getting quicker lining up head shots. Now I can consistently line up quick head shots with this thing pretty effectively.)
3. Shotty/Snipes.
Remember that old playlist in halo? Well now you can have the shotty snipe combo in destiny. This is an awesome combo for PVP and I'd highly reccomend pairing up No Land Beyond with a top tier shotty. (I like found verdict.)
2. Patience & Time
Before you go hitting 540 no scopes and shreking scrubs. Have some patience and give this thing some time. You're probably not gonna go 30-0 your first game, but if you get a feel for the gun and unlock some of its perks, you will probably find a use for
this exotic.
1. Lastly...
With only having iron sights this puts this weapon at a slight disadvantage to other snipers in the game, but it also gives you an edge other snipers lack. As you're zooming in or in between shots, if you hold the trigger down to remain zoomed, you can still see a large portion of the environment in front of you. At this time you can also still adjust your aim. Use the time for the bolt action animation to line up your next headshot.

And if head shots are important with any gun, this is the one!
Have some more tips or better suggestions?
Feel free to post below. :)
No negativity please, just trying to help out guys.
Also, I'm sure many of you are great in pvp. If these tips seem like common sense to you, they may not be to people who aren't gaming gurus.
Edit: When you are lined up for a headshot a small red dot will appear within the reticle.

2 RepliesGood post, No Land Beyond brother.
-
2 RepliesBest tip of all, don't buy it.
-
4 RepliesI have the best advice for using no use beyond right here...
dont
-
I always wanted to get better with the no land beyond, and right now I'm in that process. I'm always soo happy every time I land a headshot; one time I got a double kill :3
-
5 Replieswhat advantage does using this have over a normal sniper?
-
I like universal remote and sniper combomore ..
-
.....MaybeBaby..... I am pretty good with NLB, best advice I can give is to NOT be patient with it. Lining up headshot is too slow, inaccurate, and will get you killed. Best use with a quick sweeping motion while trying to hit the top of the head. As the Sensei from The Karate Kid said, "Sweep the Leg." But in this case sweep the top of the head :)
-
Finally some one who appreciates this sniper
-
2 Repliesonly people who dont like NLB are scrubs..scrubs who have no skill, need automatic pew and like to blow their load as fast as they do whilst fapping to my little pony SO -blam!-ING GET SOME SKILL BUTTERCUPS
-
All this gun needs is the lens glare removed, more reserve ammo, the impact glitch fixed, and the hit detection fixed on the iron sights. Anything else and the weapon becomes op.
-
Good stuff man. Every one has there gun, it's always good to give others tips. I do the same for those who start out hating hand cannons.

9 RepliesEdited by Legit cavalier: 12/29/2014 11:43:18 PMHeres a very handy thing I do to shoot the No Land Beyond a lot faster, which is the worst thing for this weapon. When u shoot the gun immediately reload and do a little sprint foreward and u can shoot again instead of the terribly long time it would usually take for the next shot. Ive already gotten very used to this and it makes this gun way more usable, so I would recommend trying this out if u are interested in using it.

3 RepliesAs your guardian is putting in the next bullet, you can switch to your secondary/heavy weapon and use that. When you switch back, the bullet will be loaded and ready to fire. It does save a bit of idle time.

1 ReplyEdited by AboveAverageDad: 12/29/2014 8:49:44 PMThe gun could be better but couldn't they all? This one however, kills as fast as the fastest killing guns in the game. ONE SHOT. The gun isn't supposed to be a crutch for shit players. It's a novelty item made for a highly skilled aim. Played 3 games of rumble with it the second I bought it this morning. Won all 3 games. I would say NLB is pretty bad for PVE but it's pretty decent in crucible. I'd say the gun could be slightly better without making it OP. Careful buffing this one bungie. I'm not all that fond of the iron sights but I'll be glad to unlock the snapshot perk.

4 RepliesReload cancel this beast (shoot reload sprint). Nearly outgunned a golden gunner the other day. It's so much fun
-
2 RepliesStep #1: dismantle Step #2: use VoC or thorn
-
I love this post. Finally someone who can see that this is strictly a PvP "fun gun". To add to the tips, as a hunter, I use knucklehead radar and I use my bladedancer subclass so I can use the perk that will allow me to switch weapons immediately. If you miss your headshot but land a hit, you can quickly go to your shotgun or use arcbolt grenade.
-
1 ReplyAnother tip for the no land beyond, Never use it
-
1 Replywait till this thing gets a buff: remove lens glint more ammo more damage faster bolt then we can all watch as kids who can't use it cry nerf.
-
Simple tip #1: Dismantle immediately
-
1 ReplyI finished fully upgrading mine tonight. It's a fun gun during patrols for the novelty factor alone. It sucks when compared to any other primary or sniper in the game but when judged on it's own merits, is still fun to use.

2 RepliesA little red dot appears if you have a crit shot lined up.
