Tough Anonymous Racists in Destiny
I had to deal with this idiocy in Call of Duty, and seemingly I also encounter this same ignorance on Destiny. It seems that many people are tough when anonymous online and loosely let the word "ni**er" fly out of their mouths with the sole purpose of trying to offend someone.
It is truly sad that those of you who do that or have done it think you're hurting someone. You're actually ruining your own character and becoming someone who lacks integrity.
I was just with a group of guys who I won't put on blast on these forums (nor their clan), but these guys are rude and racists. If you see this post, realize that I could expose you right now, by linking your accounts and your clan page. But I'll refrain.
Grow up and recognize the day and age we live in.
Edit: And no, I DO NOT use the word. Not even casually around African-Americans. Please don't make that assumption or case.

I'd love for moderators to listen in games and perma-ban these dickbags. And before you get on the 1st amendment bandwagon, read a book before you post something ignorant; there literally hundreds of exclusions (and rightfully so).

I believe it is a word designed purely for segregation and serves no other purpose. That being said, thank you OP. Discrimination in any shape or form should not be tolerated and those who sit idly while others run their mouth are just as narcissistic as the latter.

I haven't ran into a lot if racists on destiny like I have in other games like gow123 judgement. But I whole heartedly agree with ur points. It degrades the person using the word n it does nothing to hurt the person (atleast not me) it's being said to. Racism is still very much alive n well but so is karma whether they want to believe it or not. It could be ur daughter marrying a man of different race,ur sons getting locked away for life for hate crimes or u getting ur ass beat not bc u said something of did anything at the time just bc u were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Karma is truly a Bitch. So let's stop the hate n create some good karma for us n our children.

I actually feel that Destiny has a pretty mature playerbase compared to others, honestly. Back when I used to play COD (WaW times), I used to get criticized constantly for being a chick. To get away from it, I would sometimes just pretend to be a pre-pubescent boy because the hate and name-calling wasn't as strong. Everytime i've used lfgDestiny or team chat, it's always been mature adults. I've yet to be critisized for being a woman in-game and have yet to hear the squeaky voice of a tween. There are assholes everywhere, but I find the majority of the playerbase is pretty awesome. I find alot are parents, like me. I think it's the genre. Are you on xbox? Being multiplat, I find the ps community to be more mature on average.

Words are just words and should be taken with a grain of salt especially when over the internet. Take your own advice and grow up and realize that with certain freedoms we all have there are going to be people who are not emphatic to other. This isn't to discount people like you who may get easily offended at certain words that have long lost its meaning in my generation (I'm 24), but we all have or will grow up one day and learning how to ignore the sheer ignorance of others is apart of that process.
