Nightfall Vault of Glass idea

I've been reading a lot of threads about how people don't like the 31 gear and how they believe Vault of Glass gear is obsolete. I disagree with most of it but I do have a solution. Bungie should release a Nightfall Vault of Glass variant, level 30. I don't believe the Burn and Epic modifiers would be a good fit but Heroic, Angry, and Juggler would work fine. The Nightfall modifier would have to be altered, it should not allow checkpoints to start from and the Raid team should be limited to a certain amount of lives. When you're out of lives and everyone is dead it should send the team back to orbit. Revive would also need to be enabled but at the cost of a life from the pool. A dead player would be revived once the checkpoint was cleared without costing the team life in the event the team reaches the checkpoint. How many lives should the Raid team get? I believe it should be 6 but if you disagree please feel free to explain why. As for rewards, I believe they should reward players with items that buff Vault of Glass Raid gear if they complete it. They could also reward players with the upgraded Exotics and/or items that allow current gear to be buffed or re-rolled with some sort of "blessing" that increases damage. Buffed items would have the progression tree expanded but current progress would not be lost where as re-rolled items would have progress reset. Other rewards could also be ammo synthesis of each type, upgrade materials like Spirit Bloom, Strange Coins, Motes of Light, and large amounts of glimmer. I believe this Nightfall Vault of Glass variant would allow for the game to be "expanded" outward as well as upward. Dark Below Raid gear should still be tailored toward being better for progressing Raid difficulty variants. What do you guys think?
