Iron Banner 3: Who else won't go all in??
Considering that I've already replaced all the armor that I got just about 3 weeks ago after grinding way more that I would have liked, I think I will largely sit out tomorrow's event.
What do you plan to do? Bump if you don't plan to do it all again.

8 RepliesSitting this out. Still pissed my armor from the last one is completely worthless. Why not have an option to upgrade the gear? I'm done grinding in Destiny. Maybe once all the expansions are out (I have the season pass) there will finally be a clear upgrade path that doesn't involve throwing away countless hours grinding...

For a sniper rifle and an auto rifle that don't really do much, I am going to pass thins time. I went to rank 5 in the last banner event so I could get to 30 because the raid gauntlets wouldn't drop for me. As soon as I hit 30 from IB, with the next reset I got the raid gauntlets on a HM run so they got broken down which again was a rip off because I had to use 18 shards to max them out and didn't get any in return. This time I already have gear to be 31 so it's pointless. With two pieces of new raid gear, the ability to be 31 right now, and still needing the last drop in the CE raid for this week, Iron Banner 3.0 is a waste of time unless I want to level something really fast which isn't needed with all the other bounties I can do.

I'm going to have to grind this one out of I want anything. Saved myself the troubles of doing it last time and was also had time constraints, while this weekend I'll be able to grind it out. Hoping to get a Timur's Lash and re-roll it until I get firefly.

Same shaders etc.....got everything last go around. Nothing really special to grind for.....vanguard sells 33 light gear....might play a little....but not likely.

1 ReplyI may reforge my jolders hammer. Probably not though. Maybe reforging them makes them go up to the new max after expansion (320). If so, I will definitley reforge.

I don't really need to. I got my Million Million last IB and I don't really have any use for the weapons and armor. I'll still play a little though.

I'm hoping somebody can clear this up for me... So far the only thing I see even worth doing in the Iron Banner this time around is reforging weapons, aside from that.... do we get to keep our Iron Banner rank this time around? Or will it reset? I think the Iron Banner is pretty much useless this time, but if we get to keep our rank and the next Iron Banner comes around having amazing gear then I'll actually participate..

I grinded (ground?) my way to Rank 4 the last time around. I was already @ level 30 with the raid gear, but I really liked how the IB gear looked - not to mention the perks were a better fit for my hunter. Well, apparently I was wasting my time, since Bungie deemed all of the gear we ground (grinded?) out worthless. I'm assuming those that continue to quest for higher levels will have to toss all their stuff when the House of Wolves drops. No thanks.

2 RepliesThey should just call this iron banner 2.1, basically for those that didn't hit 5 on the last one and/or get the boots and/gauntlets. They said after that last one it would reset, but the rewards and rank are carried over, just minimally updated. I'll play a bit since I'm already 5 to hopefully get a new 331 Hammer drop but but that's it. It's gonna drive me nuts because the IB bounties are yet again the same every day with one being auto headshots..thus really making this Suros Banner 2.1 I'll add I'm not mad, but Bungie blatantly lied to everyone in writing in multiple pieces of communication stating that after the last IB your rank would be reset (thus likely meaning it'd be something new in next IB compared to the last IB, rather than just having an extended version of last IB with slightly higher light armor that you can get from factions anyways).

I'll play one or two games just to own sauce, otherwise I'll be focusing on Crota probably, getting to level 32 as soon as possible
