How useful is the Vex in the DLC?
Just curios, I've yet to get lucky enough for it, and remember them saying it would be very helpfull. Is it?

1 ReplyIt's really good however the same problem still exists.. Which is ammo, I am constantly running out to the point where the gun isn't useful.. I use the Fatebringer over it

15 RepliesIt would be beast if it were at 331 like the new legendary's and exotics. I use it with the More amo perk on my chest piece, gives me one more clip basically. I also have the larger mag on vs range. Key is tap not hold on the trigger unless they are yellow. VOC is almost if not a better alt.

It is still a viable weapon but I prefer to run an Icebreaker from the bridge on. Also it's good solely for the fact that it helps with the 20 multikill with fusion rifle bounty. EDIT: Have it maxed though as currently it's the only elemental primary over 300 ATK. That's the main draw to it now I'd say, although the VoC is accomplishes the same thing while freeing up an exotic slot.

I only use vex for patrol and bounties, melts low levels instantly, for stuff higher level than urself u will always be out of ammo

3 RepliesEdited by YahyaTV: 12/15/2014 3:38:53 PMI have Vex MC, only used it in the beginning of the Raid (Abyss), then again any decent primary + shotgun/fusion rifle + MG would work fine. Everywhere else, I found the VoC > Vex MC.

Its good up until the "Death singer" point. After that you're better off with fate-bringer and Icebreaker

1 ReplyI have it, and don't really find myself using it that much. My primary is held by a leg. scout rifle that's that better than VoC and for shields I just use murmur, thing is awesome.

It does pretty well when fully upgraded since it is a solar damage weapon. Although, I'm beginning to lean towards Vision of Confluence

It's fantastic for the first section (TONS of thralls). Once past there I change to VoC or Fate

4 RepliesI happened to beat Atheon on Hard Mode the night before DLC dropped and received the Vex. Although not maxed yet, the solar damage does help tremendously in the new stories/strikes/raid.
