Sucks, but you've really gotta finish those ones as you go. I go into the tunnels on Moon patrol. Can complete a few quest steps and bounties in one or two passes.

I did finish it after that. By then I had learned my lesson. Good thing I didn't go to crucible in between kills or else I would have never gotten my thrallskin braces
