Should we stop playing 'till House of Wolves?
Since they're probably just going to raise the level and weapon damage caps again (thus making all your current gear pretty much useless), may as well wait until they do, right?

2 RepliesWith that logic, why play house of wolves either? They'll probably announce another expansion that will raise the level cap and you'll have to upgrade everything again. Might as well wait to play until their 10 year plan is done.

3 RepliesPrevious weapons aren't useless, just not able to go as high as new ones. What are they, 10% stronger? Not as big a difference as you're making it out to be. The armor isn't either, unless you intend to solely play only the new content at its highest level. Even that would mainly just be the raid, all the new story missions and strike/nightfall only go up to 30, which is what you could get to anyways. "Old" content is only obsolete if you [i]only[/i] play for new loot. I still have fun wrecking aliens in their ugly face holes with my broskis all over the solar system....but maybe I'm alone in the 'playing games for fun' zone.

Everyone wants to keep thinking destiny is just fps and keep trying to compare it to games like CoD. There are no games like destiny. I, personally, think bungie is doing an amazing job of combining aspects of both fps and rpg into one solid game. My one and only major complaint is the lack of a global text-based chat system for the tower. ALL games should have one if there are events requiring a manually formed group.

When burning crusade came out in wow people replaced old raid gear with GREENS. People are so -blam!-ing stupid it's mind boggling. This is why console play is considered so stupid.

2 RepliesI stopped playing destiny for months. Recently played it for the expansion quests. Done in 40 minutes. Quit playing again for kingdom hearts 2.5, halo, dragon age. I feel like I get somewhere in those games. Destiny is still the same exact game with a tiny bit of new content. I'll wait until the update it more so I'm not still exploring the same -blam!-ing places 1000 times again. Lol

I don't think the issue is making upgrades to old gear, but that with worry that with each expansion they make previous content semi-useless. I know other mmo's do this all the time but holy cow this game hasn't even been out that long to make certain gear obsolete. I honestly believe that it's to cater to all the future players that could be getting the game for Christmas. Great business move but it really raises concern. With that said, I'm enjoying most of the dlc and I have my own complaints but I'll save it for those who can actually make a difference. It has become very apparent that Bungie don't read these forums or care.

Someone pays less money for something today that you bought three months ago? Demand a refund plus a complimentary item for free. Demand that everyone be equal because you DESERVE it but make sure to complain when everyone is wearing the same clothes and doing the same things.
