Does Anyone else thinks that the new vendor weapons are absolute garbage??
Checked the crucible and vanguard vendors to see the new weapons and all them are basically useless. The auto rifles especially have a bunch of recoil and low impact. What do you guys think? Talk to me on my channel if you wish :)

I wish I knew that the pre DLC weapons were going to disappear forever. Was grinding for a Shadow Price to use in the Crucible. I didn't NEED it but I wanted it anyway.

Yes all of them are garbage except the snipers and the crucible pulse riffle Three Little Words other than that there all garbage it looks like there all built for crucible even the vanguard weapons

Yup, weapons are shit. Oldies are miles better, sad really but that's to be expected cuz bungie didnt do anything for it, all these weapons dlc included were already on the disc.

11 RepliesMost of them from what I've seen had decent stability. I'd take my Vanquisher VIII over the new one from New Monarchy. The new one doesn't have the hammer forged. So there goes the range. Any of you get some of the new rare guns? Got a rare auto rifle that maxes out at 293. Imo, it fires similar to the Shadow Price

Best gun is the crucible pulse rifle. Dont remember the name but that and the scout rifle the saturine rapier are the best i think

12 RepliesPretty much, OP. After turning in the bounties from the day before, I got a Vanguard love package. It had a brand new Badger CCL Scout Rifle in it. While it comes with the Rodeo perk (to handle that abysmal recoil), and the Explosive Rounds perk, it's no Vision of Confluence. I much prefer the older weapons. They handled better, had better impact ratings, and are overall better weapons. If only we had more options and choices in this game; like being able to upgrade any Legendary weapon... Oh, that's right, I forgot. Bungie has no idea what they're doing with this type of game...

Edited by pjccjc2: 12/10/2014 2:36:57 PMMaybe they made the vendor weapons worse so the exotics look that much better. When I can I'll bump up my thorn to 2.0 and still praying for hawk moon. Got mida multi tool 2.0 and I like it but I love me my hand cannons. Fatebringer is still serving me well.

Some are like upgraded shingen e's or silvered hushwinds made into legendaries. If u didn't know, they were amongst the best pre-dlc except that they were only rares Now they can dominate in both pvp or pve, they're precision damaging monsters. BUT the sights on stock are pretty crappy :/

One in particular seems to be very much like the Shingen-E, which is the perfect pvp AR.

So i bought "Up for anything" just because i don't have anything else better to do with my Vanguard comms...and i did 2 or 3 pvp matches with it. I have to say, i thought for sure it was going to be horrible but I did pretty well with it. I even made sure i went head to head with some people just like i do with other guns and i came out on top more than i thought. I'd say it was just about the same as grim citizen. Now granted, this was only 3 pvp matches so it's not that much data. I am going to continue to use this weapon since i seem to be doing well with it. It will get even better with the minor stability upgrade. I would say the benefits of this gun are that you have a very large magazine and i was taking out 2 people before having to reload. The scope is also very large on this gun and I can see a lot more of the screen. Before this i was using Grim Citizen pretty much all the time.

2 RepliesYea they shafted us with new weapons I think :// I don't see a replacement for my baby (shadow price). All auto rifles are high ROF low impact unfortunately... I did find a decent one tho. If u go to crucible and check out the "Three little words" pulse rifle, it has more impact than any pulse rifle I have ever seen, not to mention pretty great perks. That might be one you may want to check out, I know I'll be grinding crucible for it (and I cannot stand the crucible lol...)

Glad I'm not the only one thinking this. I woke up early this AM to check everything out, and the weapons seem pretty garbage. I got the LMG MG18a Harm's Way from an engram... It's just trash, the range is so weak and nothing about it is special. If your have Thunderlord or even holder's hammer, you might as well dismantle this. I am about to. I love scout rifles and have been using DO's crypt dweller for over a week now. Finished the nightfall tonight and got the v2.0 version of it, but has no third eye perk :/ I'll hold on to it for now though...

There isn't a single scout rifle that comes close to my A1f1. They are all faster firing with lower impact and the explosive perk on the A1 is perfect for groups of Thrals where it isn't fast enough to take out a large group. Same with the auto rifles, I run shadow price and it's the perfect combination of speed over power. This new lot all seem to be modeled around Dr Nope. They are more like smg's than auto rifles.
