This game is going to end up just like Defiance... Free to play

If the next dlc is as pointless as this one. I shall return the game and never buy another bungee product again. It lacks in content and is over priced. They already had lacked in content with the original game now this. What's the point of even making a game content if you only add 5 missions all together (raid, strike, and story). You should have stuck with halo and then sold you're company to someone who gave a f***.
-
Complete utter rip off. I was actually thinking there might be some story here.... Nope. 0.... Maybe 2 "rooms" of new environment.
-
If you're one of the rare people who can connect to the game, worth it. If you're one of the many who can't, absolutely not.
-
I said worth it but only because it is an improvement in story and quality from the original but it was extremely short for a DLC of its price. That said I did not do raid yet so maybe that'll be worth it... Also I will note most the story areas were areas you could previously go too with some new added on which is OK but once again this makes it feel like the content was extremely lacking.
-
Like the content. Fresh mechanics. The raid (which is where the meat is imo) is solid. 15 bucks qont get me and my wife into the movies so...yeah. def worth it
-
Is this not a bit to early for this poll. Dlc just came out at one am today unless u have every weapon and pic of armor and beat the raid on hard which does not come out till next month. Really can't judge if it was worth it yet now can we.
-
For me Destiny was the sort that could fill the shoes of halo or battlefield for being the go-to game for multiplayer (and more). Being aware the original content is limited i decided to take it slowly by only doing the dlc bit by bit . Last night i did all the story missions by accident. Even though i have not done the strike or raid yet it seems WAY overpriced. I am not one to complain unless it is legitimate but what we got in terms of content should not be worth more than 7.00 max. People should focus on this rather than the actual amount of content.

I think it's worth it. Other games I have paid more for, for less in a dlc. Also I have wasted $$$ on way worse things in real life, than than buying something for a game that I enjoy. Any way if I felt cheated in any way, which so far I don't. I usually just go "oh well it's my fault for buying and not doing the research"

Edited by aimlesley: 12/10/2014 3:42:49 AMi'm on the fence.... the missions and strikes were intense but there weren't that many and i can already feel how dull this will all be in a couple of wks or a month. having a low cap level is also disappointing. i already have friends after 24 hrs of release that only need one piece of armour to get to highest level, because of amazing drops in raid. having said all this crap, we'll still be playing this game every single bloody day....

Edited by Unforgiven: 12/10/2014 1:57:28 AMThe expansion is awesome! Great job Bungie! But I wish there were at least 10 missions instead of 3. Also the raid seems really hard. There should be a gradual increase in difficulty after the missions, but the difficulty increase is exponential.
-
I have the season pass and didn't DL it nor do I plan to. Because I'm not the type of guy to bitch about a game but still play it like damn near all of you.
-
$25 aus for 4 story missions, 1 strike, 1 raid and 4 crucible maps.... frankly that is a bit rich considering it blocks the weekly and nightfall strike slots if you dont fork out the cash. Frankly, it's really really rude.
-
I liked the new missions more than the original Destiny missions, especially the strike, although I was expecting more than three story missions and a few bounties. I like two of the three new maps and the new gear is kind of cool. The expansion is mostly good, but it's not quite worth $20. Sounds a bit trivial, but it's worth more like $15.
-
i can buy a whole game for $20. if gamers give in to this trend we will be paying much more for much less in our future ... i vote we BOYCOTT this game and show Bungie who the real boss is...
-
So far, it feels like a $5 DLC at best. Hardly any new territory to explore, three easy to beat missions, a strike (which is one of the better strikes), and a raid.... With the exception of the raid, the content is clearable in under a hour. Really would have liked some new zones to mess around in during patrol. Very disappointed with this DLC so far.
-
I beat the "story" in less than an hour. They are really going to have to wow me with House of Wolves if they want to keep me buying more content because if that's anything like the piddly crap Dark Below offered, I'm returning it to GameStop as soon as my expansion pass runs out.
-
In my honest opinion it is worth it. Notice, I said opinion. Many people complain that the DLC is almost half the price of the game and isn't half a games worth of content, even if they replaced the majority of old stuff with more powerful gears. When you look at it that way then yes, it is a rip off but almost every DLC is. How I view it is: did I get entertainment value and have fun with the new content? Answer is yes. To me, that outweighs everything. While the quests are short that doesn't mean you have collected all the new DLC goodies, completed the raid, mastered the new crucible maps and did the new faction grind. That stuff takes time and that's where my enjoyment will come from. The work grinding all of this out to have a sense of accomplishment being a zombie.
-
Worth it. Improved alot with strike being intense. Raid is pretty spicy, and everything else looks nice to me.
-
obvious rip off as most of it was already in the game.
-
Man, i find the new missions crazy. Didn't even get to finish third one because I jumped into nf with some friends but can't wait to finish tomorrow. Yeah, they're short but the setting and tone Eris sets puts me on edge.
-
Why the lock out? Its just sad, I don't care about dlc, but removing part of the game is bull shit.
-
Story wasn't detailed. Only had 2 real missions. The rest was patrol based. I played through the quest line in about 30 min. The strike was decent. So basically if this raid isn't a disaster that would be the only reason to get it
-
Edited by Carvoic: 12/10/2014 6:53:38 AMStory was a joke. They're still going the grimoire route. Most the "quests" were go here, kill this in areas we already had access to. The DLC is NOT worth 20 bucks. I cannot believe this can pass as an expansion these days. EDIT: AND they screwed people who didn't buy it over.
-
I can't believe its close to 50/50. Just pathetic. Not worth 3.99 let alone 20.00
-
Terrible story. Not worth it. Bungie please just pay someone to write you a decent story. Your current writer sucks. ☺ Please Die slowly, Zithoron
