The vendor upgrade was one of the most stupid ideas I have ever seen. They could just have added a new faction with an own currency, but instead all the vog progress is just waisted. It feels like you could buy new raiding gear in WoW with reputation from capital citys. 3. People without dlc cant do the weekly/nightfall. It just sucks and all arguments like its only a week or if you cant buy it just quit are invalid. 4. This community is as bad as the LoL community, shame on you. Now the one good thing about the dlc. Its only 3 months so you can go to a gamestop and will get a good trade whem you buy a new game. Edit: 5. You cant farm engrams anymore. Thanks to the new playlist

Honestly disappointed, I will start off saying although I haven't finished the raid the parts I have done were the most fun I've had in this game. The whole "story" quest line was told on the trailer and playing the 15 minute missions added nothing. 90% of the "new" missions and strikes take place in places we have already been except for a few new hallways! Eris or whatever her face is added nothing as well and I swear about 90% of what she says is in the trailer... No cinematics whatsoever either... This was pathetic as far as expansions go. The new gear could have been put in without and expansion So I won't even include that as part of it. Like I said raid was fun but not worth it I can't believe I prepaid for this dog pile and if I had not I would not have purchased it.

First of all I love this game... but I still voted RIP OFF ... why Coz I dont think the expansion is worth 20 € ... simple ! Its not enough... its a poor extra update (Im xbox one) if you ask me ... What annoys me most is the low amount of multiplayer maps... such big worlds with so many spots to chose for Multiplayer and they have so few maps... thats not right .. 2nd thing that annoys me is the need for new materials to upgrade... really really LAME ... most people have shitloads of shards and energy... now they need new shards and energy for the new weapons and armors... thats a RIP OFF ! Im not even surprised anymore by this... its a trend.... poor DLC are common accross all games... they are milking the customer to the fullest... Even games arent finished on release dates but just poor beta's waiting to be fixed by patches... However I still love this game and will keep playing it... untill better games come along... we are out of luck

1 ReplyComplete and utter rip off. $20 DLC, done it 20 minutes. and the raid is so poorly balanced. The fact that you can't complete the raid without having at least 1 lvl 31 makes all the work you did in VoG useless.

Will vote after I do the raid, but haven't had time to attempt yet. The strike was cool since it was 'new' and partially because we all have overplayed the other ones. Story missions were too short; at least twice the missions would have felt more fulfilling, however, they were enjoyable since it was new. Where is that robot chick you meet during the base story missions? I guess she is on vacation. Most excitable moment was getting the fusion rifle from Eris since it can swap between Arc and Solar element damage. Still irritated that I can't equip more than one exotic weapon (PvE only) especially now since they suck compared to expansion 1 weapons. Lastly, I was hoping that there would be other swords that one could keep and upgrade since it is a welcoming change from guns. The temporary sword of crota is cool, but I want a permanent sword/blade weapon. This could definitely work within the destiny universe. [Sorry for this last sword rant; should be in a different post]

Well I selected Rip Off... I haven't seen the raid yet, nor the new crucible matches... There might be enough content to justify the cost, despite the quick, new story missions which is full of deja-vu, re-used everything, etc... The main reason I voted rip-off, is the fact that everything I played (religiously grinded) for, has simply vanished! Boom, exotics, legendaries, totally useless! Boom! Ok not useless, but my buddies who started playing 1 month, and 2 weeks ago, are now exactly at the same place I am, when I started from the alpha/beta/day one!! Having to reset exotic weapons for the "upgrade" is exactly the same as getting it for the first time... Being able to simply buy better legendary equipment means that I grinded my previous equipment for no reason! I'm level 5 vanguard, so I'll have to grind a fair amount to get to a commendation, when I though that I already did! I get that a game is to entertain yourself, waste time, but also to do something rewarding. With what they just did with this expansion, gamification and satisfaction just went out the window, as you well know what you do now, will be worthless for the next expansion. For wasting my time and sending my satisfaction backwards, it's a total rip-off.

Me and a friend did the new lvl 26 strike playlist and did a two man titan defender striker assault on omnigul and for the first time we really used battle tactics in destiny to the extreme. New content, new battleground, two men only facing down a force of hive and fallen who were actually pretty difficult to break, but in the end we were victorious! First try run two manned assault and wasn't easy nor teeth grindingly difficult. Perfect! :D

I would rate it a 3/10. The content is worth 4$. The missions dont tell anything new. I was excited in Rasputins bunker, thought some interaction would come but no, we just leave. Not a single cutscene, no new character because Eris is not a character to me. She is like every other person in the tower, just there. The new weapons from her and from the raid are good. The Exotic weapons are okay but all in all it are around 20 new weapons. Not including the faction weapons because theyre kinda the same.

Worth it, but I was a little disappointed that the new areas are not accessible during patrol. Dumb. BUT the way the strikes play are awesome.

I bought "The Dark Below" for the raid, strike, and gear, not the story missions or the time it takes me to do the story missions. So, I think they did pretty good at it.

Just wrapped up a 25.5 hour grind on 2 toons. Raid attempt with both, got stuck at the witches both times. All eris missions and bounties, all daily, weekly on 30 and nightfall (nightfall was a beast first time) the two new strikes, plus vanguard bounties and public events. I'd say it was worth it. And for the forthcoming" "no life" comments; f.u.ck you it's my day off.

5 RepliesMy old RAID gear is now completely worthless you can buy light level 31 at all vendors and the old gear is absolutely unusefull so everyone how play hours and hours to get the gear are -blam!-ed up
