Video montage: For those of you that think Arc Blade is OP

Other hunters will probably find this funny too, If you don't like Arc Blade, but don't find it OP, I'm sure you'll enjoy watching the fails too. Pre-Responses before you even post the usual forum replies 1. You just suck, no skill, get good, etc.. I disagree, but that isn't really the point anyway. If Arc Blade was truly OP, then anyone, even a complete noob, would dominate with it. 2. You just don't want to see your precious Hunter class get nerfed Look at the hours played on my 3 characters, and you will see among my Titan and Lock that the Hunter is the least played. I don't have a personal stake in Arc Blade being changed or not; It is the mis-information on the forums from people that have never actually tried playing the class that bothers me. 3. Shut up Meg, etc, etc, etc... Good one, nice job, very original blah blah blah

  • Unless the bladedancer uses the perk to regenerate health each kill and is already slaughtering half of my team before hopping towards me, I find that I'm still having most chances to take them out the ordinary way (primary/secondary) than in confrontation with any other super. While they're running towards you, you have so much more time left to shoot at them, compared to a void-warlock for example, who jumps around the corner and just presses the panic buttons -> insta-kill in a split of a second. I'm most afraid of gunslingers who can already shoot you from a distance; they don't have to get close to you first. Either way, after all they're SUPERS, they're supposed to be a little bit OP. Over-powered in the sense of being slightly superior. ..Unless you have a Rocket Launcher. Or a Shotgun. Or a Fusion Rifle. Or a Sniper. Or they don't see/get you quickly enough. ..guess Super's aren't that superior after all. Anyway, nice video, I enjoyed watching that!

    • Use razors edge instead on that invisible one.... Invisibility is terrible in PVP. Speed at all cost= PVP Invisibility and health/recovery= PVE

    • Here's my take on the "supers" for each class/subclass: Warlock (my main/highest level): - Voidwalker gets 1-2 kills on average per activation. Simply using it as a kill and sometimes getting a bonus if teammates are following each other up stairs/ramps when it goes off - Sunsinger: Probably better than using NovaBomb as you can become a "grenade spawning sprinkler" that has the ability to use Scorch multiple times a minute. Closest thing to Blade Dancer I've seen, and probably should get a timer reduction on Radiance (and yes I just said a minor NERF to my main in PvP) Titan: (my lowest class and least experience with it) - Defender: Go ahead and drop your stupid bubble on a control point. I will nuke it with a Nova Bomb once my teammates join me, or else I will just leave you alone until it wears off. This is the dumbest super in PvP unless you time it JUST right in the middle of a big fight (not to mention teammates can kill themselves with rockets after activation which is just f'in hilarious) - Striker: VERY good AOE super with shockwave or aftermath. Similar to Nova Bomb but is only a one time activation Hunter: (my 2nd highest character) - Gunslinger: 3 easy kills unless you get "picked off". If you can't kill 1-2 people MINIMUM with this then you need to practice your hand eye coordination - Blade Dancer: Activate outside a room, run through and slice a dude, then go to next room, rinse and repeat (oh and healing yourself wile doing it). So to summarize, Hunters super kills/activation is HIGHER than the other classes, but Blade Dancer is not limited to only 3 shots like Gunslinger. Either it needs to have a kill max, or else reduce the timer. I repeatedly see Blade Dancers kill 3+ enemies each activation and THAT is OP

    •
If Arc Blade was truly OP, then anyone, even a complete noob, would dominate with it.
Wow this logic. New players or unskilled players doing poorly with something doesn't mean it's balanced. Actually the two have no correlation at all. My brain stopped working for a bit after reading this. I'm even more amazed that you bothered to make this video despite having "no stake in arc blade".

So because you made stupid decisions or encountered well prepared opponents, somehow Arc Blade sucks and isn't OP? Also, I like how some of your "fails" include multiple kills. That's the defintion of OP. In most of the video, you got shut down by other players supers. You know what happens when a Voidwalker or Striker fail? They get NO kills, lose their super, and die immediately because they have to recover from their super.

      • I think if you use Hungering Blade on the skill tree, you could possibly survive more encounters. But yeah, it's hard to win a matchup when they have their super as well haha!

      • I don't think Arc Blade is OP but if that's what you're trying to prove then you didn't do it that well. 90% of the time you got killed was because you got killed by another super and the other 10% was by you activating you're super at a really really bad timing or just getting owned. I hope you're not trying to say that another super shouldn't be able to kill you?

      • I will be one of the first ones to admit that, at times, BD seems overpowered when others use it. When I use it, it does not seem OP at all :)
