Me and my clan members were talking about the raids and how if you do it so many times its boring. So for 15 minutes I brainstormed an idea to get guardians to max level without doing the raid but without the loss of difficulty. This is what I thought of.
A SURVIVAL MODE this mode would be fun and really interesting to see with a mixture of the public events they already have. How it would work is you start out at level 15 very easy and as you keep playing it gets more difficult. When you reach round 20 you start to get rewards like survival gear or ascendant materials then at round 25 you start to maybe get survival weapons or exotics. Each item will be RAID quality.
This game type should have no matchmaking. Fireteams can play it with 6 people just like the raid but it is possible with four skilled players to get to high rounds. You can even have it tailored to whatever the current raid is like a hive survival then for house of wolves a fallen survival. My whole clan of 15 and growing people named "that 1 group" will surely be excited for this mode. Oh yeah if everyone dies in your fire team you're sent back to orbit. You can even have a burn for certain rounds. Or add light switch or juggler to make it harder do whatever bungie but if this mode is added at any time within 10 years I'll be extremely happy.

Cool idea but I don't think you should keep the gear or weapons you earn in the game

You want Raid quality gear drops from a "survival mode" where a rock will be discovered within 5 minutes where you can safely snipe up to level 99?
-
It could replace the queens wrath. Survive a new area every few weeks
-
Heck yah bungie pls do this if you do then ill definitely play destiny a lot more!
-
If only they were smart enough to do this
-
Great idea bump bump
-
Great idea, rewards are a little too good
-
This sounds like an awesome idea!
-
It should be like Warframes survival mode. They need some tips from Digital Extremes.

Edited by ChainedThought5: 12/29/2014 3:24:53 PMSo it's like a firefight system then right I'd make it harder to get raid quality gear save it for when the enemies get to be 3 levels above the guardians and have the enemies all be majors but its a good idea

-
I second that idea

This idea, I like it... ANOTHER!!! (Throws iPad on the floor)

Even like defend the tower, waves of fallen, hive, vex or cabal are attacking and you have to defend outposts or checkpoints, if a certain amount get through the first checkpoint you have to fall back to the second one and so on. If they get to the tower you lose, but if you defend it you gain rewards. Maybe even, depending on how well you defend, the higher chance of getting better loot at the end of it

You should have the same RNG as crucible, and decrease the drop rate of loot a lot.
