The Vex Mythoclast is STILL broken
There is STILL no armor perk to increase its ammo capacity. I understand, you wanted to congratulate us on our incredible RNG skill by calling it a primary "fusion rifle," but it is still nothing more than an auto rifle and it needs to follow the pertaining armor perk. Otherwise, us super-epic-godly wizard-dragon players who beat the RNG boss STILL run out of ammo in no time. Next time, read the posts by intelligent people and govern yourselves accordingly. We pay your bills, don't make us kick your ass.

I just got the vex today so maybe I haven't had enough time to give my opinion but it seems to work great for me. I did run out for bullets in a normal raid but quickly found more. This also happens to me with fatebringer a lot too. You really just have to make the shots count not treat it like a spray n play auto rifle.

most other fusion rifles hold 30 shots max? vex holds 200+? get some armor with "extra fusion rifle ammo" problem solved

The Hart of praxic fire increases the ammo a bit, but not much though

I just started looking for ammo more.. Lol also I started using stability over impact so you hit more shots.. Not sure how I like it yet but it seems nice.

Wear gear that increases fusion rifle ammo. My heart of Praxic fire worked just fine.

10 RepliesIt's not broken they fixed it. I average 30 plus kill in PvP after patch with it. Did 2 nightfall this morning before work in less than 35 min with it. Bungie did a good job with this patch.

6 RepliesI think the vex still needs a 10% buff especially if it's supposed to be the go to weapon for the next raid while it does do more damage the decrease in ammo kills it considering how fast it goes through ammo. If they're reducing the ammo size from extended mag for "balance", then it is that much more important for those shots to hit harder. It needs to have around another 10 rounds in it's mag for it to be close to it's former glory. If they were to add that then it would still need a 5-8% increase in damage where it is now it may not be the best weapon for Crota's End.

Vex seems fine to me quite honestly. the damage output seems to compensate for ammo. Not having any ammo issues at all.

10 RepliesDear bungie, Did you decide in this patch to introduce a 0% drop rate on the mythoclast? My group of epic mother -blam!-ing guardians did it twice tonight on hard mode and not one of us was rewarded the mythoclast. Now we're up to 4 weeks of hard raiding at least twice a week. How many times do we have to cum in the darkness with our light filled power cocks to get this weapon? Idk super disappointing. Ps, love the Templar fight, I actually prefer it over cheesing, but (in my mind at least) the final boss should be harder than a middle stage boss. Maybe the expansion will have something to offer us that actually makes logical sense.

Edited by Ben: 12/3/2014 3:39:38 PMI don't see it as a huge problem. Sure, a larger ammo base would be nice and all, but it's not like it uses heavy ammo. Primary ammo drops pretty frequently in PvE, especially when you start to run low. And maybe you're a lot better than I am, but I don't often live long enough in PvP for primary ammo to become an issue. :)

3 RepliesI just love how I get more vex rifles than I do acendent shards. No joke, I just earned my fifth rifle this morning. Irrelevant to the topic I know. The vex mythoclast is by far the best all round weapon I have used next to the MIDA, thorn and suros. I think the buff was well intended, but far too much. In conclusion, playing the game shouldn't be about having "the best" gun around rather, it should be about your preference to scout, pulse, auto, hand cannon, what have you. So, I do say that the nerf/buff to the vex was unnecessary. It's still a damn good weapon and my personal favorite next to the last word.

4 RepliesThorn does more damage then vex and vex is 323... I tried defeating a event wizard.. Took me so long to take him out really doesn't feel good haha I can tell it hits a lil harder but its not what it needs to be and loving thorn right now
