I have lots of nieces and nephews about your age I play games with. They can be a lot of fun too! A few of pieces of advice for you if you don't want hostility while you're playing.
1.) Don't talk too much. It is a tendency of younger people to be egocentric and think what they have to say is extremely important. Most of the time it is not.
2.) Try to keep your conversation focused on the task at hand. My biggest peeve with playing with kids in Destiny is when they start talking about school or their character's armor or their favorite weapon or their.... (you get the picture). It's impossible to concentrate and communicate with your teammates when someone is spewing stupid.
3.) Finally, have enough time to play. At least 3 times in the middle of a raid I've heard "time for dinner". If this describes you, you're leaving your team high and dry.
Most people won't have a problem playing with a kid, as long as your a cool kid. Shoot, a bunch of the community have kids of their own. The guys sound like a-holes, don't let it get under your skin.

Number 2 is one of the important factors for whether I'll play with a someone again. I cannot stand players that brag about their weapons kills etc, it's never as interesting as they usually believe

Last night I was doing the raid on Hard and this (I'm guessing 15 or 16 year old) kid, would not shut up. His mouth just kept running for two hours straight hours from raid start through the gatekeepers. We kept wiping. Eventually he got sick of the hard work and left. We found someone else pretty quickly, and I s**t you not, within 15 minutes we beat the gatekeepers and Atheon. I got the Mythoclast! To me it shows just how important calm communication is in a tense situation. YOU CANNOT HEAR YOUR TEAMMATES WHEN PEOPLE ARE TALKING! I'd like to say that I'll never play with that kid again, but unfortunately, he's baggage that comes with a lot of the cool people I play with.

I admit I've left a raid before (two times to be exact) once because the raid was taking 2 and a half hours and I had not time for that. And the other time (earlier today) from a guy in the tower saying that I had to go in a half an hour or so. I helped them and left once we got to the Templar checkpoint

Well said. Over the past year I've started to encounter the next generation of teenagers and younger gamers, and it's been quite interesting. Starting on Xbox live when I was 12 and now I'm 22, I'm not part of the young teenage gamers anymore and it's a strange feeling, especially since migrating to the Xbox one when Destiny came out. It feels like a new age of gaming where I'm an adult trying to get my act together in the final years of college. I think the part where you told them to shut up was probably where you went wrong, but no big deal man, them being older makes them feel like they have more say and power over you, which isn't right. Yeah they may be older and more experienced with life, but that doesn't mean you can condone disrespectful behavior. At this point I'm ranting lol. Be the bigger man and don't let them get to ya. Also, before you know it you'll voice will drop. I distinctly remember going into high school with an elementary voice box and walking the halls with scary tall men with beards. You'll get there bud :)

It sounds like you want to post this in reply to the OP post. Just an FYI since he may not hear what you have to say if you reply to me.
