PROOF of Fake 30's
At first I didn't really care about the whole REAL and FAKE 30's discussion until I played the raid today with a FAKE 30. He had 2 pieces of Raid gear and exotic helmet and IRON BANNER Guantlets. Everybody in the fire team seemed to know what they was doing until we got to the Confuxes he didn't even know you couldn't be revived! So I asked have you done the raid on hard? His answer was no when they said you could get to level 30 from iron banner gear I just felt no need to do the hard raid. We did finally finish but we had to carry him through.
I don't believe every 30 that had to do Iron Banner to get there is fake or bad but I finally see why people call them fake.
What are your opinions on the FAKE and REAL 30's?

2 Repliesi get my Ib gear, and i did my first hard raid from beginning to end, it was a really challenging game, we have to get rid of some people because you always meet that guy that can´t follow orders, but we finally finish. im doing my second hard raid now and is way more easy, the point is you have to give a chance and if you can´t do it accept that and return later, with better weapons and more experience. pd. still no raid gloves =/, but 4 raid weapons=) forgive my english im learning

That's why you always ask if they done the hard raid before. And you can be lv 30 just from farming normal raid

Always ask if they know how to use the relic. With the raid being out this long if there answer is no then there will be problems.

No such thing as a fake 30 his level says "30" there's no way around it. what you guys are referring too is just someone who plays differently and earned it another way, he may be more on the pvp side of the game instead of pve. It's really annoying that you guys can't just get along and help people even if they're a higher level, you might know more than them but yet you criticize them because they earned level 30 differently. At least the good thing about him is that he's different.

Fake or real dont exist, its just a mindset some people have that their nuts have been stepped on. Just because some got lucky enough to aquire the raid gear from the raid still does not mean that person has any idea how to doit in the first place. I have been in the raid a few times. Yeah i got my gauntlets and boots from ib already have raid boots. I still wanna get the raid set. All i need to get to 30 right now is a helmet or chest.

The only issue that I see here is that your fireteam didn't make sure that everyone knew what was expected of them.

He was not a fake 30, just inexperienced at the hard raid. There is no such thing as a fake 30, simply because it is completely up to RNG what you get as loot drops in the raid. If anything you shopuld be calling people experienced level 30's and non experienced level 30's.

I think 30 is 30. If you got there, good for you! If you're 30 you HAD to do the raid guaranteed to get at least 1 piece of raid gear, so we all know you're at least experienced with normal. I think this really comes down to more raid etiquette. If you haven't done Hard before and you join a random team, tell them! If you have a team that is experienced and you're picking up one more random, ask if they've done Hard before or not, and if they haven't and you don't have the patience and time (lol) to teach them then let them know that.

3 RepliesThese threads are the dumbest part of this forum. You guys are idiots for not asking before starting whether or not everyone had experience with the hard Raid. Also, if he already had two pieces of Raid gear he clearly had been through the normal mode at least once. The hard Raid isn't substantively different from normal (with the exception of no revives). So if you had to "carry him through" at level 30 it's because he was a poor player, which has nothing at all to do with IB or anything else. Without his IB grips he could have easily made it to level 29 and been eligible (in any sane person's eyes) to do the hard Raid. Christ, I did the hard Raid last night with five 29s and ONE 30. It's not a big deal. If you struggled with one poor player then the rest of you aren't very good either.

My take is it makes sense that a level 30 can be ignorant in the hard mode raid because you don't need the hard mode raid to get to level 30! Even b4 iron banner armor all you need is the raid gear from the normal raid and an exotic helm and boom...lvl 30. Then you get in the hard raid without doing your research and thinking it's just normal raid on a higher level and boom...there is a little more to it. As far as real and fake? That concept is stupid. People are either good in the raid or they have room for improvement. IB/exotic/raid gear is not a good indicator of how well someone will do in hard mode and lvl does not indicate that they've done the hard mode (unless they have a raid helm or hard mode only piece of gear like the mythoclast).

Now since this kid HAD to at least do the normal raid to hit 30 so at least he had knowledge of what to do. criticizing someone because he never done the Hard Raid yet is ridiculous and gives all gamers a horrible name. There was a time you went through the Hard Raid the first time. Its a learning process. I went thru with a group and they didn't know they couldn't be revived. Big deal. We wiped and went at it again. It is inevitable that someone will die in the hard raid. Hell......you will argue, but I am pretty sure you probably died at least once. Grow up. Games are meant to be fun and a learning experience. We help each other, not be douchebags like you are making yourself out to be. BTW.....your stats Titan 5 raid clears with 118 deaths. Hunter 17 raid clears with 1181 deaths Warlock 7 Raid clears with 279 deaths with these stats.......I am assuming I can safely say, you have no room to talk and I am sure that you are a FAKE 30 with most likely cheesing the Templar and Atheon.

There's a simple solution to all of this.. If you're looking to do the hard raid for the first time, go on YouTube and wiki and educate yourself beforehand so you don't look like an idiot. .. And learn how to use the relic, esp at 30

This is not dependent on whether they have full raid armor vs IB armor. For example, you are a fake level 30 IMO, although you have the gear from the Raid, I'm sure as hell you are a liability in the Crucible given your combat record. That being said, level 30 is 30 and this debate between real and fake 30s is pretty stupid.

I just couldn't get raid boots on my Titan or Warlock. I've done hard, I know the fights, but after reading all the negativity on the forums today about "fake 30s" I'm like scared to use Destiny LFG now, because I have IB boots on them. >.<

I think it's stupid I have done the raid 20+ times and I could never get level 30 gear until iron banner and my friend did the raid twice and got full raid gear so it depends on the person but IB gear doesn't mean you're bad or good it just means you're level 30.
