Few use it because few actually want to talk/listen to randoms. If it was on by default, then id turn it off. I can stand the visual annoyance of text chat randoms, but not the audible annoyance of voice chat randoms.

If I were playing on my own I don't know if I'd keep trying to use team chat knowing that no one else even uses it. There is a toggle to have team chat off at the beginning of each round, so nothing would change for you, but the rest of us could actually have team collaboration with randoms. Wasn't that the point of bringing it into the game? To actually have a social dynamic?
