Breaking stereotypes : IB30 = Raid30
Since last tuesday war has raged between the raiders and the iron lords....
I call this as a stop but before I do I will give both parties reasons why they are wrong...
Raiders : many people with raid gear could have been carried by others... so don't think cuz I am wearing raid gear then I am a mega pro....
2 : many people are awesome at raids but since it ass RNG.. they don't get rewards . So they turned to iron banner , not their fualt but cut them some slack
Iron lords : you had the right to reply on the raiders but you went to far. There is no such thing as an elitist 30 and nothing like lvl 30 IB got more skill and actually "earned" their gear... cut the crap , you don't need to show off your grinding hours to everyone else...
Conclusion : I will become a symbol of peace between both parties. As I will soon be 30 on both my characters , one of them 30IB the other 30Raid..
By signing your name down In the comments , you then agree that both of them are equal...
I therefor to be the 1st who signs his name to the terms that both are equal...

You can't get to 30 without raiding. IB only nets you 2 slots, exotic can only fill one more. This leaves you 3 Light away from 30. People realize this, right?

I mean if you are only running rare helm rare chest and iron banner boots AND gloves meaning iron banner was your first legendary plus gear I wouldn't really consider you an honest 30 but if you only needed 1 piece it's fine.

I agree, I'm a level 30 raider (currently upgrading alternate gear) but I've done iron banner because the boots they offer are better than the raid ones I have. So I guess that puts me in both catagories? Level 30 is level 30.

I agree I don't care how you got your gear it's the number "30" that matters not how you got it Signed a lv 29 with iron banner gear and no luck in the raid

Have no issue with IB 30s. My main character is level 30 with Raid gear (have the helmet but I have not leveled it up yet because my Exotic helm is better for my style of play). My 2nd character is 29 and I have the Raid helmet for him. I still need the Raid boots and gauntlets (I've only run 1 Raid for this character though). I thought about IB to get to level 4 so I could buy the boots and gauntlets, but I could not stand the thought of running IB for about 10 hours to get to level 4. I don't mind the Crucible and playing Control, but no way I could grind for 2-3 days. Hats off to the ones that could grind out IB and finally get to 30. Now after I run 3-5 more Hard Raids on my 2nd character and not get the Raid gear I need to get to 30 I may think twice about the IB. However, even if I don't get the Raid gear I need, I will be getting a ton of Shard/energy and hopefully some decent Exotic/Raid weapons

Raiding requires friends for an easy ride, IB can be done alone, you can be useless at it and level 30 gear is guaranteed in a sensible amount of time. For me raid gear is more prestigious and harder earned.

Honestly? Anyone going "IM A [b][u]REAL[/u][/b] 30" is a complete and utter dribbling pleb.

Edited by A K: 11/24/2014 1:54:11 PMagree lvl 29 Hunter - Exotic Helmet - IB Gauntlets - Raid Chest piece - IB Boots ...now, to emphasize this bit further - i've never competed in the Crucible in the 6-7 weeks i been playin this game, but since my luck really sucks when it comes to drops, i decided to give Iron Banner a shot since i needed exactly what there was to buy - Gauntlets and Boots. man was that a torture! especially in the first matches, i cannot recall last time i was getting my ass kicked in a game this much, i seriously can't. my k/d was around 0.13 despite being lvl29. i didnt know the maps, had no clue what was going on...........but i wanted them Boots and Gauntlets,...........badly (especially cuz i am big fan of Scout Rifles)))) ..so, 6 days down the IB 'grind' i finally reached to rank 4 and got the Gauntlets. along the way i've had my bad matches, as well as good ones (highest score 4560 - not that bad for someone who only started with PvP a week ago)), i've left about two matches due to the absolute frustration for not being able to kill a single opponent (but have played the rest through, regardless of how much my team kept losing),......and, i would say that Crucible's grown on me :) i need to take a break from it now, but im pretty sure i'll get back for some Bounties and more so - for some fun! ...i seriously do not understand why would someone call me 'scrub', 'noob' or even worse, its not like i cheated my way to the gear that can take me to lvl30, or is it?

I agree Level 28 warlock with queen guard robes and IB boots never raided once but the hostility is just ...bizarre

I agree with this haha I mean with iron banner you still have to get either the chest or helmet...so it's not like they cheated or got their gear any easier
