Constant Disconnection Issues - Why is Bungie failing its customers so badly???

Dear Bungie, what on earth is going on with Destiny, so many of us (your customers) are just sick and fed up of being disconnected and kicked from the game constantly only to read that I may have connection issues! You have logs and you have had thousands and thousands of your customers and fans telling you that something is very wrong , but each patch you release the worse it becomes. I have shared my xbox live name so please feel free to check my logs and see what an absolutely crap time I have had trying to play a game I have paid for months ago! What is going on here? There is nothing wrong with my internet connection, I play other games on the same console and on other consoles just fine? You need to do something about this as a matter of urgency because if it continues I will just ask for a refund from the store I purchased the game on the grounds that it does not work as advertised! So many players are trying to enjoy this game only to come away feeling utterly frustrated and angry. Do you think any of us can understand this issue and fix it of ourselves or do you think you have an obligation to the thousands of players how are having these problems. I have been unable to play a whole game of Iron Banner since the last update, I get kicked from the Tower, I get kicked from raids, from strikes, even from story missions. Enough is enough, hence my post on your forums. I have a right to expect a piece of software from one of the worlds most respected developers to work, and if it does not then I think I have a right to a fix or if this n somehow beyond your technical abilities than reach into your pockets and give players refunds for a defective product just like in almost every other industry. I constantly get the bee error code amongst a wealth of others, but bee is there 90% of the time. I have followed the ridiculously complicated port forwarding settings and a whole load of other stuff. My Nat Type is always open. If anyone from Bungie could spare a few moments to reply and advise me as to what I can do then I would be most grateful.

  • Yet another post with over 100 replies all saying the same thing, that despite port forwarding, open NAT, wired connection etc, this game keeps booting us. Yet another post where Bungie help responds with a bland corporate cut and paste answer about how valued we all are and how Bungie want to improve our user experience. We are now 3 months in and they still have not fixed the BEE error. It's just not good enough Bungie. I love Destiny and it is a potentially truly great game that, for thousands of us, is being ruined by Bungie's server problems. I suggest that we all refuse to buy any DLC until this game is fixed. Hit 'em where it hurts ... right in the finances!

    • I find it hard to believe that the issue lies in XBOX one or ps4 or people's Internet connection. I seriously believe that Bungie did not predict the uproar this game has created and their servers are weak. Seriously how can I be told that my connection is bad. No other issues with any game. I even hard wired my whole house with cat 6. I certified all my lines running top of the line switch router and modem. What is the excuse now. JUST FIX YOUR SERVERS AND ADMIT YOU FAILED!

      • Hi Donnie, I am sorry to hear you have been having these connection issues, and if you are encountering more frequent errors after port forwarding, you may need to remove all port commands and attempt enabling UPnP instead. In some cases, even power-cycling the router/modem and the console itself can get rid of these disconnection issues. If none of the above-mentioned steps work, we are aware that sometimes this is out of the player's control, and we understand this may be an issue you cannot solve alone and is not an issue on your end. In all cases, we’re constantly monitoring and improving our network services to keep Destiny up and running for as many players as possible.

        • I have been getting Weasel error every match. This is so terrible. I have been 200 xp away from iron banner rank 4 for 5 winning matches in a row where I get kicked at the end right before the win...Fix this please!!!!!!!!!!!

        • I actually bought a new router last weekend. Was fine all weekend and then bam, Baboon all Monday night.... My brother lives in the same block of flats, is using wireless with all stock settings on a standard BT router and has no issues.....

        • I've had it! Been trying to get on all weekend. "Vulture" everytime. Amazing that this started after the update it was never a problem before. I can't get past the start up screen. Wired,wireless, hard boot Xbox one, hard boot router, set NAT to open. NOTHING works! Buy the new upgrade? How about a refund for the whole F N game!

              • Makes me wonder if that wonderful new demo they brought out has any animals to kick you out the game. It's frustrated my friends that they've been working on a demo for the game and not actually fixing it. We know now where they're priorities are and making money instead of thinking for the players clearly is the case, it's abit of a shame really. :/

                • Just got a jackrabbit. I hate the arrogance of pretty much every company that automatically assumes that it's customer is the problem. No morons! I've been playing the game with the same Internet and connection since launch. MY INTERNET ISNT THE PROBLEM!!

                    • I've been getting caterpillar and disconnected from xbox live for three days. I've contacted both xbox and my ISP. I've tried everything from unplugging my modem, deleting my profile, and changing my MAC address. If anyone could share some solutions for this, that would be great.

                    • Keep getting code WEASEL and BEE. I've power cycled my Xbox and my modem and still getting them. I've ran a speed test and everything is fine on that end. So frustrating when about to win a game in the IB and get kicked and get nothing!

                      • Having same problems here trying to do a strike and getting booted just as we're progressing. Rudiculous waste of effort and time. May as well be playing titanfall. In fact that's what were about to do. Please sort it or I'm afraid like many others the game will end up on eBay!!!

                        • Seriously i just want one week where im not getting disconnected. One time is okay, but this shit is ridiculous. Now i cant join a damn game it just loads till i get kicked. This is horrible in every single way. Fix your damn shit. TEST your damn shit on multiple ISPs and setups before you ruin this damn game for good

                            Hmmm... where to start since every comment so far Is The Same Thing. I too have been having issues with being booted from destiny, not just destiny but totally disconnecting from Xbox Live. But when I go to my Xbox home I'm still connected to Xbox Live. My internet too is the same one that has been since playing Destiny from the beginning. NO CONNECTION ISSUES FROM THE BEGINNING, up to a few weeks ago everything was running great no issues with lagging up/disconnecting/logging off/ BS. Bungie and their so called "fixes" have done nothing but caused further issues for me. I would be happy with not updating anything and just fixing what is going on that SO MANY gamers have had issues with. If it's not broke don't fix it. Please Bungie, Destiny was doing fine until some of the updates. Optimus1357, look it up please got disconnected from you guys oh I'd say 10-15 time the last couple times playing. If you don't believe me ask a few of the friends that I play wit on Destiny. OH and P.S. Almost evey other game I have DOES NOT disconnect me from Xbox Live and completely boot me from Game. .....Being still connected to Xbox Live when returning to my Xbox Home A Rep from Xbox Live help has gone thru their steps with me and It's not on their end (Live) and it's not my internet connection VIA my ISP

                          • Bees, bees everywhere.. and they would like us to think that it must be our faults, why would they want to admit they messed up? Especially this badly. . . I see every now and then a post saying that they never even get errors, well that must be nice. I used to get a few a week, now its a few an hour sometimes.. worst in crucible. This is the common concensus with folk after the latest patch.. Theyre probably being told to avert blame, and maybe feel its too late to cop to it. At least thats how I see it. Maybe the next patch will fix everything, thats our hope now.. to have faith that our requests, pleas and straight up pointing out the faults will reach an ear that cares enough to listen. Until then, its probably our fault guys. Lets fix our working internet until its broken enough to work with destiny. So when the next fix comes out we have to change everything back again. Heres to hoping it isnt all that bad.. I consider this beehive and barnyard of nonsense to be like destiny with an extra hard mode. I accept this challenge, but really.. come on bungie, youre better than this.
