Why is it that when I stick an arc blading hunter with a warlock fusion granade it does not kill them like every other person in the crucible. Why do I have to unload an entire clip of head shots from my auto rifle into a hunter dashing at me at ridiculous speeds as opposed to only half for every other normal guardian. And finally, why is it that when an arc balding hunter is dashing at me and I directly hit him with a rocket..... he only loses a little less than half his health..... I have searched the blade dancer subclass abilities over and over and the closest thing I have found to "when using arc blade this guardian is invincible" is the ability that allows them to regain health on kills. That doesn't explain the direct rocket hit, entire clip of head shots of any gun and the usually 1 shot granade. Please hunters, why?
Edit: Just looked at the blade dancer tree again and you're all right. There's an ability that states "When using arc blade this guardian gains 50% bonus lag. All damage that would be dealt against this guardian has a chance at being ignored due to not actually hitting".
Guess it's not as bad as the guys who are lagging so hard that they start walking around into a wall and are all invincible then they suddenly appear behind you and you're dead from their shotgun, while they proceed to repeat the process on the other 3 people around you D:

Maybe you just suck. :-/

Ah yes the chosen one...:they say his 1 bar is a gift from rngesus ...... :p
-
They get unstated DR like Fireborn.

1 ReplyWell when I arc blade I tend to die just fine from minimal damage. Maybe there was some lag and bullets were not registering like you think.
-
3 RepliesThey get a lot of Super Armor. Big deal. They have to get close up to their targets in most instances, so if they were fragile like a gunslinger in Golden Gun, the super would be insanely less efficient. They had to compensate for the fact that they have to be in your face.

It has a lot to do with the code of the game. Blade dancer needs a lot of work. They are hard to kill sometimes. Also when using blade dancer it lags a lot and it takes multiple melee's to kill someone(which can make you waste half your time as blade dancer on one guy who can kill you just cause it's lagging and he's hitting you back) It's a double edged sword

11 RepliesEdited by Shadow_Legion: 11/16/2014 12:09:12 PMAnswer me this, why do sunsingers get an over shield for just hitting someone with their melee attack? Also why even when using fireborn they can still tank a point blank rocket to the face during radiance? Then during this radiance where they have increased defense they can use the rapidly refreshing melee attack to one shot people. Not to mention the fact that their melee attack actually has the range of a shotgun. Oh yeah and we have to mention the fact that they are the only class you have to kill twice since they can spec their defense boosting super to actually resurrect themselves. But you see I am okay with all of this. Why? Because if I want to play a boring version of Destiny I would just go back to Halo where there are no supers and all guns of the same type are exactly the same and everyone has the same abilities.

1 Reply*grenade Also, because it's a super. Finally, if the rocket launcher did not 1-shot the Arc Blader, you didn't hit directly.
-
2 RepliesThe Dash creates a sort of "Lag" effect where they're there one second to get tagged by the first few bullets and then they're not meaning the remainder of the damage misses them entirely. You're getting outplayed by raw speed.
-
well... when you activate arc blade you become a ninja that can run 76429mph and has 8494 health
-
Because they get a damage reduction, same with Striker Titans
-
Because you apparently aren't using your weapons and skills correctly. I run bladedancer, and today I got killed quite a few times during the Arc Blade trance, mostly by rocket launchers (Truth) and headshots from Atheon's Epiloque.

5 RepliesWhy does a Titan smash kill me when I am above him ?

1 ReplyYou voted for Obama right?

Edited by RampagingKumquat: 11/16/2014 12:23:28 PMThey gain a damage reduction bonus when they pop arc blade. In my experience a rocket still 1 hits a hunter if you directly hit them, so by chance do you aim at the ground when shooting rockets (which is smart in most cases btw)?

damage resistance and/or extra shielding for using each super then there is lag which is easy to spot with an RPG
-
You do know Arc Blade gives the Hunter 50% dmg reduction, right?
-
We lose ourselves in the trance. Pain and death becomes a concern we no longer trouble ourselves with. Definition? Space magic. Same reasons a Titan fireteam can have a mini dance party in their bubbles.

Because your speacial

All I can say is that's lag man. I've used arc blade for the mass majority of playing this game, which I didn't even think I was going to do when the game came out because it just didn't sound like my style. Anyways, I've been one shotted by shottys during arc blade, definitely die or almost die by rockets.. It is by no means invincible. Lagg is the only thing I know to tell you that makes it seem this way.

2 Repliescan you explain to me why when i throw my titian sticky grenade at another titian (close range) then he fist of havoc's me and doesnt die to the explosion
-
Because hunters won't admit it's OP
-
Supers seem to give a noticeable damage resistance. It's not impossible to kill a Supering Guardian, but it's much more difficult.

Need one person to join me right at the end of daily mission level 28. I have died and it won't Respawn me. Just need someone to jump in and press a button and you'll get free ascendant material :) ! Gamertag: Grim Rockets

15 RepliesSame reason u warlocks died and right after you are gone, boom nova bomb from the ass. Lol Kidding. I think it's even worst with the Titan's fist of havoc. I think all classes get a small health boost when in super mode.
