So basically bungie were to confident to land game of the year but they failed. 2 lf the main reasons for the 7.8 on destiny in IGN is lack of story , lack of content. And now deej creates a post that people who will buy the dark below will have a surprise. LOLOLOLOL , it's not kinder surprise we won't get a toy.... so yeah destiny won't be game of the year it's 7.8
Such as assassins creed unity with a 7.9 and watchdogs with an 8.6 ( atleast watchdogs pwnd destiny's ass ) whole Cod is 9.1 , so my guess cod and assassins creed rogue will fight for the game of the year , as it's rating has not yet been released.
Edit 1 :l don't like COD
Edit 2 : I don't buy games from the reviews . I just buy anything , I feel like having. As , statistics show 50 % buy from the reviews , the other is from their instincts ... I am just stating facts.

I don't trust IGN reviews. Anything CoD related gives them a massive hard on.
-
Who cares. I give it a 9. CoD won't get GotY. That will go to Dragon Age.
-
Dragon Age will get it.
-
Advanced warfare is trash spawns are wrong lag with jetpacks. I give it about a 7 also. The Crew looks pretty cool but like everything else true colors will surface when we can get it
-
I stopped listening to reviews a long time ago. I played the alpha and the beta and I enjoyed myself playing it, therefore I bought it. No regrets.
-
Felt like destiny is more of a 6,8 well i don't care.
-
reviews are bollix
-
I couldn't care less if it got game of the year or not. Most games I play don't get it. I've never looked forward to a game thinking " Gee whizz, I really hope that this game gets GotY or not."
-
I grew up as a COD fanboy but haven't enjoyed one since MW3
-
How the hell is CoD a 9, its the same damn game every time...
-
Last of Us should take it again. This year was bad for gaming. I honestly think Last of Us should take GOTY again because of it's ps4 release.
-
That "special surprise promise" did seem really desperate
-
Destiny scores an average to above average score on review sites, gamers are like, "that game is terrible." CoD receives scores exceedingly above average on review sites, gamers are like, "that game is terrible." #gamerlogic

Edited by jmferris: 11/14/2014 2:58:40 PMWatch Dogs is the most overhyped pile of steaming shit that I've ever bought. The graphic quality, framerate, and horrid gameplay mechanics all were not present in any of the lead-up material. And it is not even a matter of PC vs. Console there, either. I have it on PC, and it looks and plays like a five year old console game. It is easier to address content and story concerns than it is to make a game something that it visually and mechanically cannot be. Review sites are absolutely worthless, by the way. It is just a micro-representation of an opinion; no different than a post on this forum, or any other forum - with the added bonus of having to walk the tightrope of being "honest" while publishers wave money at them for advertising. There is considerably more honesty in candid user-based reviews, by which your argument becomes that AC:U gets a whole 4.3 (out of 10) on MetaCritic, while Watch Dogs and Destiny both get a 6.3. Neither of those scores are stellar - but at least Bungie is addressing the concerns of their community; even the trolls like yourself. I sincerely hope that The Division does not get the same "Ubisoft Treatment" that Watch Dogs did. Edit: Since you edited to add Call of Duty numbers, so will I. The community rates that game below Destiny, as well. Between 4.5 and 5.8, depending on the platform. If any of those games that you mention win GotY (and by the way, just about every site and gaming blog has the same "award", which makes it largely meaningless), it will further illustrate how that "honor" does not represent the community, but the almighty dollar/pound/peso/euro/etc. But that is cool - because they have people, like yourself, hook, line, and sinker.

I see a lot of people making comments about other games like watchdogs, CoD, ACU and saying it sucks , its balls that was a bad game , etc etc but not a single one of those people stated why they found those games to be bad. step up and tell us why you found any of the games you listed as bad and the reasons why you found them bad. I'll start. Destiny is a poor game, it has very little content, mish mashed story line that makes very little sense, No thinking really needed to kill mindless waves of mobs, A RNG loot system that's not fully thought out which make you grind for hours in hopes you may get an item you need but with very little chance of getting, but on the plus side it does have a guilty pleaser to it, great graphics, great combat which brings me back to playing it but sadly it was not worth the 60 bucks I paid, a better price tag on it would of been 30 or maybe 40.

Lol kinder suprise. Dlc comes in an egg and you have to put it together.
-
58.8 % of statistics are made up..
-
Stick of truth should get goy
-
How the -blam!- is cod rated 9.1... that's utter bullshit, the day cod came out there was 73k viewers on twitch in COD:AW category and when I looked earlier 7k. Cod's shit, was once good but now pure shitttttttttttttttttttt
-
IGN is never a good base for any argument...
-
Idk what games you played, but watch dogs and unity are both ass.
-
I -blam!-ing..HATE, watch dogs. No way it got an 8.6 completely legitimately. And of course cod is gonna have a higher rating than destiny, they doin shid under the table no doubt. Destiny has a lot of years ahead of them meanwhile cod makes their money by continuously repeating their multiplayer concepts..on a "new" game. I'll keep my bet on destiny thanx.
-
AC Unity is higher rated because of all the dumbass internet hardos hating on Bungie, how can a game where characters DO NOT HAVE FACES, be better than a game with a struggling story
-
Destiny is just a fill in game until the good games come out. At least with AC Unity, far cry 4 and dragon age inquisition you actually need a brain to play them, instead of killing 3 waves of enemies while you wait for a door to open. And no doubt they will actually have a story that goes together and makes sense. Thanks destiny for the couple of weeks that kept me busy, now I'm trading your game in to pre order something good
-
Far Cry 4 and Dragon Age haven't hit yet, so they might be contenders. But the lack of truly great games this year is worrisome for the future industries.
-
Sorry but if you don't play a game and go with the reviews then you're just a scrub. Unity is balls, watchdogs was a game I played for an hour and tried to not make my car fly in that hour because the game was just -blam!-ing terrible and COD? Reskinned garbage that consumers buy all the time because they're more than brainwashed.
