Raid Boots are the most valuable item
Raid boots are the most valuable item in Destiny currently. They are the only item you [b][i][u]MUST[/u][/i][/b] have in order to be 30. All other items slots, helmet, gauntlets, and chest have exotics that can make you 30. Yet there are no exotic boots to help people get to 30..
It's a shame for those of us that have beaten the raid multiple times, have multiple sets of almost full raid gear, and yet we cannot become a 30 because we need the [b]one[/b] item you actually have to have.
Yet people stroll in with their Xûrned exotics and become 30 instantly...
Sucks.

I never knew so many people had this problem! I hope one day everyone gets their beloved boots so we can all fight the darkness together, as level 30s!

I just finished the hard raid with my clan, and finally.. Got boots, not only one pair, I got two!! I can have 2 level 30s finally!

Lol, even a year later and the boots struggle is still soo real....I'd be 312 if it weren't for my 303 boots. Fml.

1 ReplyIm a conspiracy theorist when it comes to this crap. I suspect the drop rate for them are super low considering you can have exotic helmets, gauntlets, or chest armor.

The first 2 raid armour pieces I got were boots. Took ages to get my chest piece and I'm still waiting on my gauntlets.

7 RepliesYou guys gotta believe. I had a 29 in my raid party yesterday. I asked him what level he was and he said 29, I said no you're 30 believe that you'll get the boots. After we killed the gatekeeper, his boots dropped. True story. Same thing happened to me with Fatebringer. Just believe guys.

After running the relic for a legit kill of the Templar (first legit kill in weeks since every one wants to push him all the time...) I saw my Prime Zealot Greaves pop up and I was instantly ecstatic! Now since I have maxed out versions of every hunter exotic if I can find a group that will take a level 29 hunter into the hard raid and manage to snag the helm or gauntlets I might actually hit 30 before the end of the week...

1 ReplyI'm on the same boat as everyone, got Raid Gauntlets and Chest on my first play through, now just waiting for boots for the past couple of weeks now. It even took me a month to get some boots with light, when I got some they were +2 light, I cried, hopefully it will happen when my clan does hard mode.

Had an awesome drop streak last night in the raid, got raid sniper second set of gloves, and a truth (didnt even get to finish atheon)... But all I wanted was boots I would trade all of it for boots...

heh. was doing the raid yesterday with another 29 warlock and a random level 27 lock. we both (29s) just need boots to get to 30. the 27 gets the boots twice. fml.

Got 2 full sets of raid armour and a spare helmet and chest . I had the most unlucky character for along time but in the last 2 weeks I've had loads of drops across 3 characters just keep at it they ll come
