So, thank you for reading this in advance. I will have you know that this is not a rant, it is simply one person's stance on raid matchmaking.
As Bungie stated in a previous weekly update, the raid is meant to be completed by groups of friends who have coordination and ridiculous skill. However, Bungie also acknowledges that fireteams have met each other at the door of the vault, grouped up, fought together, and won. I would like to make a point that that is basically matchmaking, just far more manual. If you see what I'm saying, that happens, so why couldn't matchmaking work?
Thank you for reading. I sincerely hope Bungie sees this, and considers the idea. The reason that I bring this up is that I don't have 20 friends, and I don't have time to waste half a day looking for a fireteam.

Yup, exactly what I've been saying. The forums are just turning into Craigslist personal ads. "VW 29 ISO SH for VOG LVL 27+ only" Some sort of in-game notification that you could activate to show you're looking for a raid group, that lets you know when a group is looking to add an extra guardian. Also getting kicked to orbit to join someone you meet planet side running a daily is ridiculous. Designate a "this guardian is doing the same mission you are" color for gamertag and allow seamless "join fireteam" via R3/interact menu. Unique chapter instances shouldn't require a reload if both guardians have already loaded that story mission separately and then want to team up.
