As expected, your suggestion is not popular. I have three characters, all of different classes, and I appreciate the ability to swap items and gear between them. I disagree that swapping coins between characters is an exploit, much less one on par with Atheon pushing. Who are you to say how many coins people are supposed to have and how fast they should be able to earn gear?
