How Hunters are amazing in VoG
Makes me sick to see people kicking hunters out of VoG groups because they are "useless". I am going to prove them wrong. Here is how they are amazing in VoG
1. Destroying oracles fast: Got three oracles you need to destroy in less then 5 seconds or else your team die? Not a problem for a gunslinger. They can one shot those oracles
2. Great relic holders: Hunters are best fitted for the relic. They are very fast and quick. The whole team spread out and you need to cleanse them? Not a problem for the Hunter. They are also really good for in the teleporter for Atheon.
3. Clearing out enemies: Got a bunch of supplicants swarming your team on atheon? Get gunslinger and Time Vengeances and you can take out all those supplicants out. Need to help out clear enemies with the shield guy in the teleporter? Not a problem.
Now you know how they are amazing in VoG. What are they are not good out?
1. Cheesing
I laugh at the people who say hunters are useless in VoG. They are the people who want to do it the easy way by cheesing the bosses. I just want to say you guys that think so are pathetic and just so sad.
Well that is it. What you guys think? For those Hunters that do VoG, you guys are the real MVP.
Edit: Thanks for all of the responses and glad to see that many people feel the same way. It is not the class that makes the group succeed, it is the person that is holding the controller. This whole Hunter Discrimination needs to stop.

Won't do VOG without atleast 2 hunters :) they drop orbs quicker than anything and it helps out insane amounts.

I was the only hunter invited into a raid yesterday. They looked at me with my maxed out Atheons Epilogue, Ice Breaker and zombie apocalypse and were like "whoa badass alert!" Joined them and we were at the Templar fight. They were gunna cheese but they wanted me to hold the Relic because they know hunters are best with it. So then comes the gatekeeper and I gotta go through the portal for the relic. My buddy is about to get f*cked right in the pussy when my golden gun comes and saves the day. I grab that relic and we storm outta there. When it came to defending the central conflux, I was nearly unstoppable, until a good number of Vex began to overwhelm us and we all got f*cked right in the pussy. We had a level 24 and an inexperienced player so I couldn't play seriously really, but even still I was f*cking the vex up! Us hunters have too much swag :)

Hunters are great in Raid, but having too much of them in a team can be a drawback. I can't lie if I say i'd rather have a Titan that can set Weapons of light up.

At least some people think the hunters are the best in the VOG because I'm a level 30 hunter and he wreaks in both PVP and PVE.

Golden Guns all day for Oracles. If I'm not carrying the Relic, I use weapons ready perk to swap to my RPG and fire one down onto the Vex on either side. Relic holder barely needs to lift a finger because the Goblins/Hobgoblins will be vaporized and the Minotaur down to less than 1/2 health [i]before the first Oracle even pops up![/i] Then, fully upgraded VoC to wipe them out in 3 shots with extended mag for 27 rounds, meaning I never even have to reload until I'm walking out of the portal, then have a full mag to unload on Atheon before TV runs out. Yeah...kick me from a raid team if you want to lose. LOL

5 RepliesI raid with a lot of randoms. Sometimes its a bit disorganized. The most disorganized part is supplicant suppression. A stray supplicant can easily wipe the returning away team. Hunters on top of the portals killing supplicants as they spawn is an effective method of supplicant control. But at the end of the day if you have to write this post, the battle is already lost.

I get invited I do the vault with my Hunter several times a week by people I've played once or twice with because I saved their asses before. Of course it helps that I am proficient with the relic and communicate...

First run with 6 Hunters in vog hard mode yesterday and we got no Problems the whole time and we all were strangers for each other

I agree. My VOG clan team consist of 2-4 hunters and the rest warlocks. We have no issues with our hunters, as i am one of them and have no other characters. We have just now gotten a couple titans up to run VOG, but my clan has managed to beat it several times with a higher hunter to other ration on our team.
