Bungie.net Clan Management

I doubt there will be much interest in this kind of feedback topic/post but I just kind of wanted to throw it out there anyway... I started my clan roughly around the end of September to offer like minded players a way to meet other people with the same kind of mindset, on the same console (Xbox One) a place to go add each others gamertags and go Raid, Nightfall, Weekly, Daily, Strike, Bounty, Crucible or just generally explore in Patrol til there thumbs fell off from RSI (I'm pretty confident this can't happen...can it?). Since then the Clans had ups and downs with activity but most of the members have found regular people who they can come online and shoot stuff with. Great right? Yeah, it is and i've been overwhelmed with applications and requests but as a clan Leader/Admin, many of the Clan Management/admin tools seem grossly underdeveloped and a little bit sloppy (Sorry for the offence), particularly for a game that boasts co-operatively play-style as a core ingredient in it's all you can eat buffet of delights. Especially when it's claimed that Raids were essentially designed for Clans to run where there are achievements for all clan teams completing them. So... I'm talking about things like maybe raising the clan member "rep" cap so that more members can rep if they choose, i'm flattered that people want to rep the clan and i think raising it to 250 would make little difference really. Also things like the member management page; Do i really need to be taken back to page one after I change one persons membership? This is an easy fix. And why not add ranks to the admin system? Or let Leaders set admin privileges? What's the point in making "alliances"?! Yeah i'm cool with sharing the love and co-operating with other clans but maybe make it more dynamic and interesting. I'm sure theres a ton of other small things to add to the clan system that could make it more enjoyable and encourage more players to register on the forum and join a clan or make there own. Small changes that might make it easier to run the larger group/clans of Destiny. Cheers Bungie

  • Ive had my clan since October of 2014. Sometime around November of the same year, I promoted admins and we actively started recruiting. Once we grew a little bit, I also noticed how underwhelming the Bungie site is for clan-based interaction. Facebook is better suited for these types of things. I still encourage guardians to use our Bungie forums as much as possible, but were nearing our 100 member limit and I'm not sure how much longer the Bungie website will be valid to our needs. The tools are sub-par and the interactions are very limited. I agree with everything you said. Especially about how the game-core is player interaction and group activities. The clan should be the 'family unit' of Destiny, but the website kind of shoots itself in the foot. I would be very excited for some changes to this entire aspect of the game.
