No reason to use a Vex Mythoclast when you can use a Suros
The Suros hits harder on BOTH body shots AND headshots.
You could say 'The Vex has a marginally higher rate of fire' but then the Suros has way more range.
What a joke.

1 ReplyUhhh... Suros hits for 440, Vex for 400. But Vex fires 1.5x as fast. Mag is also larger, but range shorter. Vex also has solar damage. And don't forget the damage perk! Use Suros at range (might use VoC then, however) and Vex closer. As for now, Vex isn't god tier, but it has its niche in where it outdoes the Suros easily.

Completely agree. I got the Vex after the Nerf, so I never fully understood its power. Used it a little, but went back to Suros. Suros is definitely better, but I use VoC cause I need to have good legendary primary's on standby invade I need to use an exotic special/heavy

1 ReplyThe vex is good in pve for trash mobs because after every kill the weapon gets more powerful. It still needs a buff though.

5 RepliesWith send it upgrade vex has better range. This is on top of a drastically better fire rate and ability to be used in close range. Vex is the clear winner.

5 RepliesAs someone who has both I can say i can't even remember the last time I used my suros. The mythoclast with the range perk will out class anything in between cqc and mid range. Want proof? Look at my k/d. Pretty bad hey? Well look at my recent games and tell me the vex isn't better.

It's more powerful than the Visions of Confluence. Think solar damage on fire shielded enemies.

Hell I use my suros for one thing, and that was killing oracles on normal but now I have better weapons to do that job so it doesn't even get any daylight anymore. I'm competent in the crucible without that weapon. My red death can outgun it without too much trouble. Players can use what they want to use. That's why I like this game. If someone wants to use a vex over a suros - they can. All the suros does is carry bad players. Without it they are mediocre. Playing with my friend who had a fair share of bad games, mediocre performance, and just altogether average - now that he finally got his suros he's pretty competent with significantly better performance. Me? With or without my suros I have the same performance because I don't let my weapons carry me.

I love using the Mythocast on people who underestimate it's power >:) But I'm no idiot, if it's an encounter I am not going to win I pull out, reset myself and setup for success. Just because you go face to face and lose does not mean that the weapon your using is bad.
