Excuse me Sir, I bought this game 2 months ago and have only played for 16 full days since release, so I obviously don't enjoy it. Can I have my money back, please?

I think the thing is its not what we were told and led to believe it would be. Its a good enough game, but we were sold something different and better than what we got. Thats the issue. Its only kept my interest as long as it has because nothing has come out since that im excited about. But its so repetitive and limited that im ready to leave it once something like dragon age comes out that will give us a story, character development, and a real open world full of content.
-
This. So much this. There's also my other personal favorite. "Destiny is repetitive, excuse me while I go play the tenth version of COD which is exactly the same as the last nine."
-
Seriously, I've never seen people hate a game so much they will play it for hundreds of hours. I believe that's what we call, idiotic.
-
Because it not what we were promised or what we saw I never look back at the game as soon as I saw the E3 commercial I pre-ordered and never look back that was a big mistake and I won't make it again!

Also labeled as insanity.

Edited by KUNBALL: 11/3/2014 9:17:57 PMThis game is systematically design for you to play a long time with all the RNG and no trading. And the fact that they patched the loot caves proves how little content, in terms of gears, you can get. The selection is seriously limited You're forced to log in hours after hours hoping you'd finally get that purple drop, and even if you're lucky enough get one, it could be something something useless to you or the same useless gear you don't want. A person could literally play until the day they die and not get what they want. There were no fun involved after the first initial 20 hours, it was pure tedious grind. If you couldn't figure it out, then they have successfully dumbed down a large portion of the gamers. Kudos to them actually, on their evil success.
-
Can I just say. No one forces you. But you. What this game has done is tapped into the addictive side of a gamer's brain in a very overt way. It hasn't coveredd it up with additional content or story. It's simply hooked you in. If they did this on purpose - geneous and dangerous, because like subliminal advertising, addiction manipulation is frowned upon in some countries.
-
They're using our hope for better gear to keep us logged in for hours, it's not because it's so fun I can't put it down. But as soon as I realized that even after I did get what I wanted, I'd just be playing the same thing I already played a crap load of times just to get a new gun to play the same strikes again, I stopped. This is not a game, it's designed to waste our youth and make us mindless followers. And people think it's Activision who forced bungie to make a bad game, that's just comical.
-
What's idiotic is that you guys don't understand that this game is based on grinding so you have to expect those types of played hours to be on it. A lot of people play the game because they want to reach lvl 30 or get loot, not because they enjoy the game so just because somebody has over 10 days logged in, doesn't mean that they had fun the entire time.
-
This is a crap argument. Your going to tell me you played 240 hours of Destiny and hated every minute. Bull shit. I've stopped playing several games after a few hours because I don't like it. I'm not gonna waste the precious time I have to game playing something I don't enjoy.
-
I don't play it as much as I used to because of the same recycled content. I pretty much get on to do bounties and dailies, weeklies, and raid... Most of those logged hours are equivalent to chores, and chores are never fun. I had fun at some point... Now? I'm just trying to make sure that my character doesn't get abandoned, hoping that someday, Bungie will deliver the awesome game they showed us because this is NOT it.
-
Lol, no. I stopped playing on lvl 20 when they informed me that I have to obtain "light". I tried to do that a couple of days. -Blam- that! Idiotic is (IMHO) going back to game in hopes of getting something better (with more light) just to be punished by game with nothing or some green useless stuff. It worked in Diablo, but at least it was fun and there was some "story". Destiny, pfft... where did those millions of dollars go to?

This is going to be a good one :)
A lot of people play the game because they want to reach lvl 30 or get loot, not because they enjoy the game so just because somebody has over 10 days logged in, doesn't mean that they had fun the entire time.
Again. This is what normal people call: idiocy.

In a game where grinding is part of the universe, the only way to enjoy yourself is to acquire the gear that you must grind for. After you spend countless of hours grinding for said gear, then you can begin to enjoy the game. It's called grinding.

Edited by redrum: 11/3/2014 9:41:17 PMYes, I know that. I'm responding to the idea that people will grind for hundreds of hours and not enjoy it. I dunno, maybe stop after the first like 50 hours and move on to some other grindy game you may actually enjoy?
-
Edited by Lunytunes: 11/3/2014 9:47:06 PMWell I can speak for myself, I grind the game because I can play it while doing other stuff because that's how simple it is, so I don't just sit down and play Destiny, I CAN'T just sit down and play Destiny because it's lacking. I'm looking forward to playing Crucible with my new clan though to see if I can enjoy it. I multitask that shit yo, I do school work, house work, work work lol. But yeah, Destiny is boring, I only put time into it because I want to have stuff in case they make it interesting. That's why I do it. I guess I could see why you would call people who do something they don't enjoy idiots, I just don't want to get left behind if the game ends up being great and since there's nothing else to play (CoD can kiss my ass), I'm going to be grinding it for a while.
-
It's the same here every time a new title is released. X is game is shit. Then why have you played it for 10 times the amount I have and why are you still playing it? The answers are always hilarious.
-
There is a line. Destiny crossed that line. I play games, a lot. I'm still playing it because part of me wants to be wrong about where I see Destiny in 2 years.
