I think a lot of people missed a good point the OP is making. He's not condemning 'exploits', he admits to use them himself, we all do.
Hiding in areas where no one can get you that were not made that way by design, but just missed by the QA,that is essentially an exploit.
But isn't there something fundamentally wrong, if your finding encounters too difficult to do by the way their design intended, if you need to hide in a hole or under a platform and see out a boss battle avoiding all other minions, for the 50th time, is that really fun? is that really a test of our skill? If the difficulty scale allowed the battle to be winnable without being impossible, in a stand-up fight, involving[b] team-work and co-ordination[/b] ,that for me would be a whole lot more fun and rewarding. But at the same time for that to happen, they need to also be pro-active in fixing terrain exploits, because no one makes a fight more difficult by choice. and something fundamentally needs to change to force better team-work.
