The Inequality of the Playstation vs. Xbox situation has only one appropriate response.

The following was the body of an e-mail I had intended to send directly to Bungie, rather than make public. But, since they make e-mailing them general complaints so bloody difficult, this seems to be the only available option I have to be heard. I've made a few alterations just to make it make sense for a forum post, but otherwise the content is basically the same. I am an Xbox One owner. Ironically, I own an Xbox One because of the good times I had on the Xbox 360, and the original Xbox before it. Why is that ironic? Mostly because Bungie and Halo played a major role in just how much I enjoyed those consoles, it wasn't the only thing I played of course, but it was a cornerstone to be sure. A lot of my friends have Xbox One's for the same reason, and the dedication to the platform has a sort of momentum one person just can't stop, not without alienating the majority of his companion-base. For these reasons and more, I'm an Xbox One owner - and I'm sure many of you are too. When I got Destiny, I was aware of some content disparity between the Xbox One version and the PS4, and thought (incorrectly) that the worst of it were the same time-based exclusives I've seen before (which I suppose it is, except on a scale so different that it's like comparing my driveway with the autobahn.) But I was okay with that (my expectations that is,) I could handle a month or two of being a second class customer - but a year? A year of on-going discrimination? This is nothing short of insulting, unethical and abusive. If it had just been the launch content, I could have looked past it, but now with similar tactics being employed with the DLC, you're telling me this flippant disrespect of half your player base is your on-going business model. You want me to purchase the DLC, at the same cost as a Playstation user, with less content? Let me lay it out a different way. You telling me I get access to this content a year from now means you expect me to be playing a year from now. But Bungie, your game is already sorely lacking content, at least for the kind of game it's trying to be. By further restricting the content you`ve made, you're depriving your entire Xbox player base of content that is unequivocally needed. So this is what it comes to; I've already made a mistake by not researching your plans for, now lets be honest here, completely screwing over the Xbox fan base you helped create, and purchased your game. Because money is the only language you speak, my only option (beyond this, now public, letter) is to deprive you of as much of it as possible. That being said, until such a time as your company publicly acknowledges it's offensive treatment of the Xbox community, and makes genuine and tangible efforts to repair the damage done (read as; equitable treatment with respect to Playstation users), I am boycotting your game. Furthermore, I will be actively encouraging any and everyone who plays your game or has an interest in it to do the same. What this means, for those of you who are either interested in joining me (or calling me a fraud if that`s your thing,) is that I will be trading in my physical copy of the game as soon as I am able. It will be easy for me to be dismissed as petty, but what this is, is my attempt at being a responsible consumer. Parity above instant gratification. TL DR: The Inequality of the Playstation vs. Xbox situation has only on appropriate response, boycotting the game. Join me in speaking with your money, don`t buy the DLC, and stop playing the game.
