My team and I completed the raid also with this new mechanic (on hard). Everything leading up to the Atheon fight was the same usual grind. The hardest mechanic about the fight was the three being randomly teleported. In a group of 3 30s and 3 29s communication was huge to know who grabs the relic and who is moving straight to killing the mobs inside the portal. Other than that, it's takes only 4-5 teleports to kill Atheon pounding away at him with fully upgraded rockets, primaries and secondaries. Keep calm and raid on!

Awesome to hear, definitely makes me think we are on the right track in our goals to go into hard with no less than 3 30's and nobody less than 29. I think we handled Atheon with kid gloves as we were rattled by the anticipation of the changes... but they weren't too bad. Of course this is normal mode I'm talking about. Congrats on downing him on hard man!

Thanks! Just a lot of communication is needed. 30s are now a must to handle praetorians or they will kill you very quickly 29 and below. It makes strategy during the fight nearly irrelevant as there is so much chaos going on between who gets teleported and shoving rockets into Atheon's face

That is EXACTLY why I'm encouraging my squad to stay away from hard. We nearly burned ourselves out last week because of praetorians. So many hours lost to come out without a victory. The answer: gear up, level up, try again when the time is right.
