What is the community's response to this picture as a prospective user skin? Photoshop is not required. I use Paint.net and it works just fine for creating images, and I know people who use GIMP. They aren't quite as good as photoshop but they are free, so who cares. (GIMP is essentially Free photoshop and Paint.net is a better paint.)

Photoshop installed, time to get to work. 3 ideas atm.

I might need these in the future, just in case I want to submit a few avatars of my own.

Well, with a decent antivirus...

Ok so I used Paint.net blah blah blah now what do I do just save it as a JPEG and send it or do I need to save it some other way? [Edited on 03.23.2008 8:09 PM PDT]

either save it as a JPG, GIF, or PNG, and email it to stosh.
-
It's been about 2 weeks since I re-sent my avatar images. 5 weeks for the first time I sent some in and I have yet to recieve a reply. How long does the evaluating process usually take?

There is no guarantee you will get a response, especially depending on the volume of traffic through that email account.

Photoshop is quite frustrating atm. I got my idea already made in my mind but just can't get it right when it goes on screen. took me forever to find the blending options. I might just end of having to link my 3 ideas and have someone who has better skill finish them off for me. EDIT - Ifound a video tutorial and now I'm cranking right along, only if I was worth a damn with the smudge tool! [Edited on 03.24.2008 1:21 AM PDT]
Posted by: UL7IM4 G33K Its not too hard to select all the images and convert them to .gif
'Save as' and select the format, I know. That's not why I'm asking. PNG's are the way to go for images with a transparent background, unlike GIFs where the image would be outlined with jaggy white pixels, PNG's make anti-aliasing possible between the image and whatever the background might be.

Awesome for a freeware program.
