The real question is who actually cares about a mission being done legitimately other than Bungie? Why should I seriously have high standards, high morality, and unquestionable integrity.... for a video game?
Guys... it's just a game. If I want to exploit, then let me exploit. I'm not jailbreaking, I'm not messing with its coding, I'm literally just using my terrain to my advantage. I honestly don't even see how that can be considered as exploiting. It's like you guys want people to purposely put themselves at a disadvantage while trying to beat the mission. That's stupid.

I don't think that was the point OP was making. I think it was suggesting that the nightfall and such are too difficult and bungie should not expect many people to do the strike how they intended. I have done every nightfall "legit" but phogoth is just -blam!-ing impossible
-
But who cares whatever you can do it legit or not? As long as you do it and is having fun doing it, what else matters?
-
That mentality, applies to your thinking and logic on anything YOU DEEM, less/not important. So it says quite a bit about you. "Why should I seriously have high standards, high morality, and unquestionable integrity.... for a video game?"
-
Exactly. It's a video game, not important at all. I play to have fun, not because it's a life changing experience that is worthy of me actually considering it important. It's not college, it's not a job, it's not an internship, it's not even a profitable networking opportunity. It's a video game, and to me, they have one purpose, to entertain.
-
I tell my children to treat EVERYTHING you do in life as if it were to reflect the person you are or want to be. It carries over into life (mentality - about what you see as important or not does not mean it should be treated without respect.). So do comedians, but would you disrespect them??? stripers (this one fits my point)??? why would you, as you state she is only to entertain and has no VALUER outside of the place in which you went to watch her, by your words. That is my point, frame of mind when you start to think about things.
-
Well, Destiny = Game Stripper = Human. Completely different things. There's a difference between treating a game as a game for it's entertainment value, and being an asshole in general.
-
Not when you think how people carry that attitude into the game chat, and become the same to another human, but seem not to minds. Because it is just a game and who cares what I say or do??? fouled logic at its best.
-
Your comparisons aren't on the same plane.
-
Take a Phycology class, then if you do you will understand how it DOES carry over into our lives and how we react to things we deem not important...
-
People who carry a "don't care" attitude with themselves generally display this attitude with others. This is true of human "psychology". That said, you can be incredibly mannerable and caring of all human, animal and plant life without deeming AI deserving of such treatment (because it isn't real). If Bungie was looking to push morality, they should have added that complexity to the story and given the player choices to make that altered outcomes. Sniping a monstrous ogre through a pee-hole doesn't equate to slapping strippers because you think less of their profession. Those are two different planes of thought.
