I agree, and prefer not being intrusively spoon-fed a story throughout the game. Room for some imagination is always good.

Are you the same guy in a previous post talking about "spoon-fed"? Give me a break. Exactly what someone else posted to you, "You don't go to see a movie in the theater, get handed a few papers with a blank screen and are then asked to make up your own story." What if you went to 'Avengers' and they told you the same thing? They wouldn't have made money on that movie if they did that garbage. The difference is, gamers got so hyped up on this game, bought into it, now you're so hungry for a good story you've got to make it up on your own. The reason why it's so broken is because Staten left the company back in 2013 and Bungie had to scramble to make something work after they gutted his story.

Well, we are talking about story here, and Staten was Lead writer. No where in my above statement did I say Bungie as a company hinged on him.
