cross platform transfer

This is again down to personal preference based on exposure to new consoles.... Bungie statement, as below... DOES DESTINY SUPPORT CROSS-PLATFORM GAMING? Destiny does not support cross-platform play. Your account, characters, and progression are shared across console family (PS3<->PS4, Xbox 360<->Xbox One). Cross-family transfers are not supported. My 360 will die soon, I know this as its my 3rd and have repaired many, the writing is on the wall . When it does I will jump to PS4. I think Bungie should give option to cross console family (from 360 > PS4 etc). I know many people my position that will move from Microsoft, destiny is a good reason, I think this is short sighted, and although the console fab boys will defend their product of choice, some of us weigh up our options and jump between console families as we see fit. In the day and age where we have the ability to share and move data between many devices this restriction is not acceptable. Jumping off soap box. Thank you for reading. And for all your posts.

I had both last gen systems and upgraded to the Xbox one initially because it made more sense for my whole family at the time. I purchased Destiny and love the game, and I have put a lot of time into it. I recently purchased a PS4 and paid for all things Destiny for a second time, and I am finding it difficult to grind the strikes just so I can do all of the higher level stuff. It is easier to just hop in the Xbox and play the nightfall or run a raid, but I have friends on play station that I want to do these things with. So, I grind whenever I have the time, which is limited. I have a job and family after all. I would gladly pay a fair price to transfer my hard earned, seasoned characters to another system. I would even settle for a cross system vault. That way I could play the story and then transfer higher level stuff between system.

It isn't Bungie. This is MS and Sony locking players to their systems. Much like a phone company and your locked mobile phone. It is the same with all other games. Bungie can be blamed for a lot, but this is NOT something they have control on. To give you an example I have GTA on both my 360 and my PS3. R* has no problem connecting both my accounts to the same R* profile. The accounts though are, and will forever be, separated there though because that is what MS and Sony mandate. So I have one account listed for 360, and one account listed for PS3 both attached to the same GTA profile, and they can never be merged.

      • I really want to play with my guardians on both console families. I have been playing Destiny so much on xbox that I would not want to start all over just to play with my other friends.

        • I would love that, but it can't happen. Sony and Microsoft won't collaborate like that.
