This is the second time Xur is selling stuff i already have and the second time he decreased my legendary/exotics value. I thought the suros was supposed to be valuble but now that he is selling it again i see it being over used by every single person who never ran VoG or any raid what so ever. Where is the value in something that anyone can get? Suros is no longer an exotic in my eyes. SMH
How would you guys feel if you finally got the Vex Mythoclast after hours and hours of repeated raid runs only to have xur sell it the next day? Waste of time right?

I see your problem, you don't know what the meaning of Exotic is...
-
The only thing exotic in this game is legendary engrams
-
The cancer of the Destiny community, " MY EXOTICS HAVE NO VALUE!!! I WORKED FOR MINE THEY DIDNT!!!!" Sell your game.
-
You people are hilarious. Of course scrubs would be in favor of a system that rewards them with some of the best gear in the game that easily. They are pretty much catering to the retards, I remember when having a rare piece of gear in an MMO mattered.
-
I like how people say value, as though this game has an economy.
-
Not really a waste of time as it was your choice too get the gun, if xür sells it, who's fault is it for getting the gun the hard way? Not santa(xür) xür is love, xür is life

Considering Strange Coins are almost as hard to gather as playing the Raid, without the need to try to find 5 other people that can play at the same time for a Raid, or hell, maybe there's people that CAN'T do the Raid, either due to time constraints or otherwise, I would say I don't care. Honestly, if I got Vex Mythoclast and he was selling it the next day, I wouldn't care. I'd be happy more people could help with the Raid. So, yeah, the value of your weapon is not really relevant. It's all perception. You can say that you got it from the Raid, and that's cool and all, but anyone who gets it EARNED it one way or another, whether as a direct reward or as an indirect reward using in-game currency that is difficult to amass. Many games have multiple ways to get the same gear, and many games use only in-game currency as ways to obtain things. No one would say those that got them that way didn't earn them. Please, stop whining and enjoy what you have. The Suros isn't even that big of a threat in PvP, I've taken down many a user with my Thorn, and that is widely considered an underpowered Exotic. I am almost never killed by a Suros.

It takes hours to get enough strange coins

Exotic - of foreign origin or character; not native; introduced from abroad, but not fully naturalized or acclimatized Synonyms: alien, alluring, avant garde, bizarre, colorful, curious, different, enticing, external, extraneous, extraordinary, extrinsic, far out, fascinating, foreign, glamorous, imported, introduced, kinky*, outlandish, outside, peculiar, peregrine, romantic, strange, striking, unfamiliar, unusual, way out, weird Rare - coming or occurring far apart in time; unusual; uncommon. Synonyms: attenuate, attenuated, deficient, extraordinary, few, few and far between, flimsy, inconceivable, isolated, light, limited, occasional, out of the ordinary, rarefied, recherché, scanty, scarce, scattered, seldom, semioccasional, short, singular, sparse, sporadic, strange, subtile, subtle, tenuous, thin, uncommon, unfrequent, unheard of, unimaginable, unique, unlikely, unthinkable, unusual, unwonted Copy pasted from websters So exotic doesn't mean rare. The fact exotic weapons can be obtained in so many ways (engrams, bounties, bought), naturally nullifies any thought or claim exotics are rare. Get it in your head.

I'm more mad because I hate the suros now everyone is using it
-
So if they remove xur then what do we do the the coins that we get from missions
-
value? LOL Anyone who buys exotics from Xur has EARNED the right to purchase from him. You EARN strange coins and mote of light. All that grinding and working hard is all worth it with the strange coins and mote of light. Anyone that has gotten an exotic from a random drop didn't earn jack shit, they just got lucky. The RNG in this game is garbage, so Xur gives the players that are unlucky with receiving Random exotic drops a chance to obtain a nice exotic.

No actually complainers like you ruin the game. And he will never sell the vex gun. End of story
-
They should stop saying that exotics have any kind of value! They don't even have representative value. The only items I give this value are the unique Raid drops and maybe the Bounty exotics, as they show the challengesyou beat for them.
-
How can it reduce value? All items in Destiny have a value of 0 because you cannot sell or trade them. What is so bad about others having the same gun? All of us also wear the same armor.

Edited by SoFlyKiid: 10/24/2014 3:43:18 PMSuros isn't a raid weapon. Its a drop. But I do agree. The day I got my crest of alpha lupi he was selling it, and everyone believed I bought it when I indeed completed the bounty for it.(apologies for my inaccuracy, asshats. I just bought the game.)
-
It's funny cause I had it before xur even sold it... Everyone used to make fun of my gun but now everyone has it and calls it " one of the best guns in the game."
-
All it is doing is cracking fragile egos. There is no P2P economy, there is no value other than people thinking they were better than someone else because they got lucky... first. Bungie knows this and that is WHY they are doing it to snap people out of the delusional state they are in. #toughlove
-
Xur only sells a specific list of exotics, he does not sell all exotics, and will never sell raid gear
-
Lol "value"
-
It's one of the few game design decisions I agree with because it helps compensate for some of the other, worse decisions. I don't want to be stuck playing the same repackaged missions 69 times a week just hoping I'll randomly get an item that will actually help me progress further in the game. It's nice to have an out.
-
I'd say the more people with good gear is better for PVE, and equal footing for PVP, making skill a priority. I don't care what other people have, so I'm not concerned.
-
Dude. What value??? There is no trading. You're lost bro, go back to WoW.
-
I couldn't agree more. They should stop handing out Exotic Weapons through Xur. They're not the rarest weapons anymore if they're just handed to people.
-
There's no value at all!... It's not like Destiny has a trade/market system!... WHAT VALUE? (Sentimental doesn't count)
