just got turned down for hard raid,.
It wasn't because of my level.,
It was because I'm a hunter.
That,
That hit me right in my pride.
I'm going to go sacrifice myself to crota now.

6 RepliesTo be fair, both hunter subclasses are abysmal for the raid. Titans have their shield (and can do void damage) Warlocks can self revive and can do huge AoE void damage. Hunters can rush in and get killed with arcblade or do next to nothing with golden gun

8 RepliesFace it. There's too many hunters and they have little to no support abilities. I don't like having more than 2 hunters for vog. I'd have a bunch of sunsingers and defenders. They're generally the ones who go down the most and tend to be selfish and not listen from what I've seen(not saying they all are, just a lot more than other classes from my observation)

They turned you down cause your a hunter? That's stupid. Maybe it's because the hunter doesn't have any ways to cheese the bosses so people don't actually have to fight them -___- I feel that you have been discriminated against... It's ok , take them to the arena and blade dance all over their corpses.

So I read through the majority of this post and I noticed every time someone offered up a comment, if it was something the OP "Archer" didn't agree with, he would be a real ass hole to them. 2 RepliesEdited by Circadian Wolf: 10/24/2014 4:25:56 PMBah, anyone who says hunters are bad at PVE doesn't know how to use them properly, they're minion killers and escape artists. The warlocks are medics, the titans take on the bosses and the hunters deal with all the smaller enemies. They're great at killing oracles and supplicants and thats just on the Aetheon boss fight. On top of that if you spec for speed you can escape almost any situation where a titan or warlock would be killed. TL;DR - Hunters aren't direct team players, they keep the pressure off the other classes so they can focus on taking down the bosses.

5 RepliesYou're level 27. You're useless on hard. You'll take more damage, and do dick for damage. In fact, you cant even do full damage in atheon normal mode. Get to 29 first then try hard mode.

Massive amounts of enemies, mass attacks, even a walker! But- my hunter was able to get past it all. Yes, a hunter, solo, took out a walker. This was not a public event.

1 ReplyHonestly to be a good Hunter you have to have good FPS skills. I'd turn down a Hunter for a Warlock or Titan on my raid team any day. Warlocks and Titans are support classes, Hunters are just killers. If you can't kill well then you're basically useless.

Sorry to hear that, but sunsinger are most valuable because of no pick ups ans fireborn but 27 is too low for hard anyway you would get OHKO by a lot of enemies, I tried at 28 and it was still hard. Also being under leveled you do reduced damage making you useless in hard raid, stick to normal until 29

Just find other people to cheese atheon and the Templar for you, being that you can't do jack sheet as a level 28

Titan : Blind , AoE , Tanky, Support Warlock : revive , grenades all over the place , tons of orbs Hunter : Go back to PvP since this is what your class build for. Rage all you want, you can't deny these facts. And shut the hell up with your blade dancer facerolling unskilled bullshit. Long Range > Close Range. Same with Dick size , Long > Short

I laugh at people who laugh at hunters. Who needs armor when you can dodge bullets and sidestep melee attacks. Plus a blade dancer can spec into stealth by crouching, which is a great crutch. And Arc Blade bad against bosses? Yes. Bad against trash mobs? Usually not.

Until I created a hunter they looked like Vandals and I always accidentally attacked them in Patrol. Also there was a bit of a nagging issue with how I remembered them from crucible. But had a hunter now for a few weeks and I'm all better on that point.
