It wasn't because of my level.,
It was because I'm a hunter.
That,
That hit me right in my pride.
I'm going to go sacrifice myself to crota now.

Weird. I always love having 1 gunslinger in my raid group. Bladedancers have no use in the raid though.
-
Don't feel bad. I am a Hunter and I just turned down an invitation to a Hard raid because there was a level 27 in the group. Go to Destiny Tracker and use their LFG to find yourself a raid =)
-
Since you're 28... I'm assuming. Normal raid. No one in their right mind would want to carry a 28 on hard. Easy fix though... Find another group..

Edited by Mr Deep: 11/15/2014 2:09:17 AMI got kicked out of a normal raid earlier when I was level 30. Somebody on my friend's list asked me to come along with him and teach these "Newbies" how to raid properly. I join him, and what levels do I see when I get there? 24 26 26 27 My friend was 29. They were on the oracle phase. I have NEVER laughed at something so hard in Destiny since its release. A bunch of kid's, yes kid's, running around screaming and acting like chickens with their heads cut off. We are both running around killing all enemies and oracles and constantly reviving one of them every second. He left two phases before the oracles finished because he didn't think we had a chance without him grabbing his sniper out of his vault, but I stayed there and managed to help them complete the oracles. So my friend joins back in, and they want to "cheese" the Templar. Well, they wanted us two to cheese it for them. They all killed themselves (I'm not sure if this was intentional or not). I guess they got impatient or they decided they wanted to remove me and invite one of their buddies or whatever. But they kicked me as the Templar was about 75% to where he needed to be. The guy who asked me to come in the first place apologized to me for what they did and immediately stopped helping them after they removed me. We both completed hard 3 times this week so it's not like it mattered, but those children... I just don't understand. That was the most bizarre and awkward thing I've encountered in Destiny. I couldn't help but laugh at the experience. But I did learn... If I run into another child in a raid group, I should immediately leave.

I am easily one of the best raiders on any team I've been on. I lock the right conflux down by myself so that they can have 5 defending the left. I'm also almost always one of the people to grab the relic at the gatekeeper & when fighting Atheon, if I get teleported & get the relic, we always survive. Skill matters more than your class.
-
TURN DOWN FOR WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????? sorry.... The inner "lil John" got ahold of me.........
-
Maybe level up your weapons....
-
I feel like Hunters lost there role in the VoG with the random teleport... the only time a hunter could truly outclass the titans & warlocks was in the timestream, as their dps on atheon can easily be made up for with a good sniper/rocket. That being said, the teleport system does make the raid abit more challenging for Bungie's favorite sons

Huntard!

Edited by E D G E Glock: 11/15/2014 1:42:52 AMLook... I would take you with me on my team but to a certain extent you have to understand you very well may be skilled your probably more skilled then me you just get outclassed by warlocks and titans via weapons of light/self revive
-
With every raid I've done I've always carried the team as a 29 hunter. Their loss bro.
-
Dunno why, you only need 1 titan defender and 2-3 warlocks. Hunters are a bonus due to the golden gun in killing the Oracles.
-
Apparently they didn't realize that Golden Gun is a one shot kill on the Oracles and does a TON of damage on Atheon if they planned on beating him the way he was meant to be beaten. The Hunter is actually a very reliable support class for the Vault of Glass.
-
It's ok bro us hunters will have our glory
-
I don't know why people are so elitist... Seriously, it's just so stupid.
-
That's ok :( I got kicked from a normal raid for being level 26, while the 28's and 29's couldnt even do Gatekeeper checkpoint. All I was doing was defending outside., while they died inside :D
-
Atleast you have raided there buttercup i havent step foot in one no one will take me because i cant use a mic it isnt my fault im deaf i inform them i am dont matter sorry bout the hunter i feel ya
-
I've beaten Atheon on hard with 5 hunters in the group. Granted, we had 4 lvl 30's and they all knew what they were doing. With a random group though there could be valid reasons for not accepting you. Maybe they already had several hunters, maybe they didn't have any titans and needed Would, etc. Or maybe they were just dumb -blam!-s and you were better off not going with them anyway.
-
Archer im down im a 29 warlock sunsinger with 3 raid pieces and vision of confluence and atheon a epilogue and HeZen vengeance... I've done hard 3x now
-
Then just go find another hard mode raid group lol.
-
I really dislike warlocks who use the self revive ability as a crutch. Everytime I play raid, its usually the warlocks who are first to die and then self revive. They rely too heavily on the self revive to save them.
-
turn down for hard /starts breakdancing
-
Need 2 for hard raid message me HR2 HITMAN xbox 1
-
Classes don't matter, be happy you didn't go with them, they probably sucked and wiped multiple times.

Some people just need to stop turning down help when it's offered. I'm not sure my team could've gotten through the raid if half of us weren't hunters. Between scouting the maze and plastering Atheon with trip mines, the hunter is an invaluable asset to any team. Their loss.
