Ok, so I'm in some MASSIVE trouble...

So yesterday I went to look after my neighbours parrot, and I don't get along with birds. They are out for a few days, and they said I could stay in their house...because this parrot is a rare breed and their prized possession. This is when I hit the problem. A fed it a bit of a fugecicle, and its beak got stuck together. I tried to pry it open, but the beak began to make this weird noise so I left it. After a while, I sprayed the parrot with water from a hose - to stop it sticking. But this only sent the parrot flying backwards - and it swatted against the cage. I picked it up, it was unconcious. After coming back from the vet, I put it back in its cage, and went to bed. The next morning I woke up, went down stairs.. and it was... well... dead. I thought it was sleeping, but after a while of complete stillness I took it to the vet. He said it died from its heart exploding. I thought back to the traumatising events of yesterday and slapped myself on the head. My neighbours are coming back next in a few days - so should I tell them I killed their 'child' - (she calls it that mainly because of her infertitlity) - or buy a new one and pretend I knew nothing about it. Or maybe buy another one, pretend I'm a parrot genius, and said 'it shed its feathers'. I need help or I'm gonna get in alot of trouble. :( [Edited on 03.17.2008 11:05 AM PDT]

 • Why does everyone say it's heart couldn't explode? Go look it up guys. It can. And as for your problem, I'd just accept it. Reality is you'll be punished less then if you lied, and, well. Do these people really matter to you? [Edited on 03.17.2008 11:56 AM PDT]

 •
Posted by: GOWSam
Posted by: Socket29 Well, you shouldn't have fed it the fudgecicle. What the heck? Just tell them it die, and try to get the feathers all nice and dry and in order.
Yeah, I just gave it the tiniest bit (I'm no good with animals - but my dads old dog use to eat these fudge sweets all the time - so i thought it was ok)
omg... Chocolate isn't good for ANY animal. Lots of chocolate will kill an animal. It is never ok to feed human food to animals cause we have a totally different diet than animals.

 • Well Sam I am truely sorry for you being in this prediciment and so I will share with you some advise that my grandfather gave me whilst on his deathbed. "He said son, when all else fails DO A BARRELL ROLL!" then closed his eyes once last time and drew his final breath and I knew that he had gone on before me.

 • Well I'd suggest buying a new one if they want you to even if it means you won't have much money to spend on anything else. If you don't have the money now, pay it to them over time, jsut let them know you'll take responsibility for your actions. Because it's very rare to find someone willing to do that nowadays. And if you compensate them instead of lie, it'll show anybody else who knows about this incident that you are a responsible individual. Plus then you won't have to feel guilty about it after you're done paying them back.

 • Yeah probably. But this type've breed of parrot is rare, therefore expensive - and I don't get paid that well....

 • dude, just tell them the truth and offer to buy them a new one. If you tell them the truth it's more likely they'll be able to trust you again eventually because you'll be letting them know that you can take responsibility for your actions.

Stop replying to the OP, as a fudgecicle simply will not do this. It's mostly ice, and will melt easily. A small amount will not harm a parrot, although it's certainly not good for it. GOWSam is having fun at your expense.
Not the ones that have been left out in the warm freezer (these people don't know how to opporate their machinery) and have that sticky outer-skin. x(

 • They're really horrible neighbours... like totally mean. Whenever I say hello to them in the morning, they blank me. They only asked me to 'babysit' as I was the only one left and that because I had an 'efficient life-style' (in their words, not mine) they could trust me to look after it..

 • Just say that it attacked you and you were just defending yourself. Then if they ask why it has chocolate in it's mouth tell them he needed something to eat on his way to heaven.
