This was funny

http://youtu.be/UZ5BpeHVTWY I have already bought the dlc and I love the game. Buy the dlc this is going to be fun Contrary to popular belief I am actually an avid supporter of destiny. I did not post this to be dishonoring to Bungie nor its fan base. I merely pointing to the fact that we have a long way to go until the nay Sayers are satisfied, if they ever are. I realize I had failed to mention this to begin this and for that I am sorry. Good luck Guardians.

  • 10 year plan. Never said everything shown and all ideas talked about would be available at launch. Dlc 3 months after launch so of course a portion of it is going to be on disc. The point of creating a game is to make money and corporate growth, its not a non profit business. Any game that needs constant monitoring/updates/balancing/patches/events/etc at the level of destiny needs an income flow beyond the initial purchase. So you get paid dlc or monthly fee. Monthly fee gives you all the goodies upfront and just enough content dropped to keep people playing. Dlc means holding back what could be there to be sold later as large bulks of content worthy of the price tag. Consoul gamers wont buy a game with a monthly fee at the magnitude of units needed to truly create a mass sale game. So they had to go the dlc route. Quit bitching. My opinion is that if consoul gamers could learn to accept a monthly fee then some truly great mmo games could drop like they have on pc. Unfortunately that wont happen.

  • Ugh...... they could have made it a 2 disk game. No fully developed content is on the disk that's locked off. I am tired of this .... this forum needs some mods. And I gave this youtube turd another view.

If the game was good I'd have bought the DLC. It's clear Bungie's going with a minimalist approach. Minimum content, maximum grind. People easily get addicted to grindy games regardless of how bad they might be, but Bungie's retarded if they think I'm going to pay $15 to continue grinding for nothing. I've never seen a game with so little content yet so much grinding to do.

  • I feel like all the dudes crying about this are the same guys that drop $50 on the COD season passes and you'll get half the content. If you don't like it, shut the hell up and don't play the game, it's that simple. Do us all a favor and get off your soapbox and trade your game in.

    • I'll admit many good points were made with this video. Of course I find that people are protesting too much. Do things get cut in development? Yes. But you're going to tell me they cut out large chunks of the open world, story, Factions and a playable (And quite textured) Reef because of a lack of time or something? Sure, we do take E3 bits with a grain of salt, but that doesn't mean things shown at E3 and in trailers will never make it into the game. There's cutting things due to a lack of time and resources, and there's cutting things to dumb it down. I don't think this is a case of the former.
Imagine if the first Super Mario Bros. would have been published with 2 worlds and sold four times...
These people, the ones defending these corporations, they are correct. The problem isn't Bungie or Destiny. The problem is the consumer themselves, they are the problem; the people that award mediocrity. These are the same people that believe McDonalds employees should make $12 an hour. The same people that believe there should be a ceremony for every educational grade completed, that employer standards should be lowered all together, and that it's ok to advertise a product then chop it into quarters and make four times the profit. Stupidity lies in wanting to draw conclusions, and the discourse of what is happening here is far from it's conclusion.

            • i get what he is saying but in my case i got destiny because i got a great deal on the white ps4 bundle which i actually wanted i did had an intrest in destiny but still with alot of doubt so i had no intention of buying it at the time. it came with the ps4 you could say. i guess my greatest disapointment to this date is the lack of armor variation crucible and vanguard is the same just like the clan armors. im sorry but it comes over as lazy there is no other discription for it. there is also no excuse for this in my opinion. but if destiny didnt come with my ps4 i would have waited untill release read revieuws and would have proberly deducted that destiny was only worth half the price they where asking (with the ps4 deal i basically got it for half price.) and waited untill the price dropped or a discount. but i do agree with the guy from the vid that more and more games dont bring the content you would get in the past for the same price you payed. and i fight it in my own way instead of buying something on release i wait a year or 2 and buy it for a fiver orr less i basically pay what i think the content is worth and will not buy it untill it dropes to the price i want to pay (on consoles this can be a bit more diffecult i recomend to look for prepaid cards for example instead of using your credit card to pay something or put money directly from your bank to your balance you buy a 20 dollar/pound/euro psn prepaid card or xbox at the cheapest suplier that you can trust =P) i recently bought 2 20euro psn prepaid card for 16 euro a piece. if they refuse to bring the great content we once paid for then we will addept and become budgetgamers seeking the lowest of the low prices.

              • Don't always jump the gun because someone makes a seemingly good argument. My problem with this video is the constant talk to trailers, and talking about the E3 demo which was pre-alpha. Whenever you look at anything pre-alpha, especially anything from E3, take it with a grain of salt. Developers will tell you what they want to make from the game and build a demo around it. You will never get everything you are promised, normally because it's either delay the game until that can be done or to do what they know they can do. The DLC content "on the disc" is nothing new, and most likely was being added during updates or during the initial download, most likely not ready for the specific disc that you bought. Regardless of this, you'll see many games over the past year do this, it's an industry standard and people should have been standing against this well before now. The story has holes, but this isn't new for a game that slides so close to the MMO world. It will hopefully be built up upon, but until we see what happens, no one knows and everything is speculations. Don't get me wrong, I want more of a story, but I'm not going to burn them at the stake just yet for something the entire industry has been doing. TL:DR - Don't believe speculation, just wait until it comes out and watch gameplay then make up your mind before going boycott crazy. Oh and fun fact - that original "beta tester" mentioned in the video probably had his post removed since early play testers are made to sign an agreement that most likely had a confidentiality clause.

                • I agree with the whole things but when they say trade or gamble for this game they probably do mean trading the coins, or motes of light. And gambling could just simply be the fact that when you have to use the criptarch its a chance and a gamble on if you will get a piece that you can use or garbage you will never need.

                  • I'll be honest, you're the first person I've seen trying to "spread the word" to not purchase the DLC that has under 4 or 5 days played. So far, all I've seen are the people who have literally done everything the game has to offer and are pissed because there's no lore for them to play, which I find remarkable... They're releasing this DLC come December and the people who have nothing left to play are up in arms about it coming out??? Whether any of this material was supposed to be in the game at launch, there's more for us to do. I feel like I play this game a lot. It's almost the only other thing I do besides work and sleep lately, and there is still a whole lot I have yet to accomplish. I haven't even stepped foot in the VOG yet. Why on earth do I care if I have to pay a little bit kore for DLC for a game I enjoy playing? I just feel like the small percent of people that bitch about there not being enough content are the ones that spend every waking minute playing this game with over 150 hours logged into it. Maybe they're not trying to cater to just the people who have no lives
