Edited by SoloXYZed: 10/24/2014 9:32:16 PMI would be fine with all of this IF they didn't straight up lie to our faces. If they simply stated that what we are previewing may not be in the game upon release i'd be ok with that, but they made it look like the game was going to start with this amazing story and it would be built onto for next 10 years... Not take 10 years to build it up to the story we were expecting. It's false advertising plain and simple and it's NOT ok. It's up to us, the gamers, the fans, their source of income, to put a stop to it.

Yep, I know how you feel. I watched a Chevy commercial, tried to tow a tank, and my dam bumper fell off.
This video is an in-depth analysis about everything currently in the game( and not in the game )... This video also includes the REMOVED reddit post THEY didn't want you to see... This video also touches on the Gaming Industry and its current state... Say cheese @DeeJ, our wonderful community manager... You are in this video TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you feel this way. Stop playing... Get off "OUR" forums. There is an astoundingly large fan base for destiny. And if you continue to down talk destiny on bungies own forum, I hope the banhammer strikes you down. This game kicks ass. Period. There are slight issues and disagreements, but bungie is fighting to correct them. The average player has spent over 120 hours on this game in a single month.. Let me do the math for you.. 120 hours devided by 60 dollars(amount spent on game).. You were entertained for endless hours for 50 cents an hour... Let me compare that to many other pastimes.. GOING TO THE MOVIES: 1.5 HOURS, devided by 8 dollars... 2.75 dollars per hour. GOLFING 8 HOURS (which is really stretching it, more like 4 to 6) cost: 36 dollars... 4.5 dollars per hour. Need i continue?!? All the naysayers need to buy a new game and get off these forums. Meanwhile millions of destiny fans will continue to play this great game until we feel collectively, done with the game.

guys you argument about how they lock content on the disc is irrevelent! why ? because there is no more disc, it's a -blam!-ing sever client architecture... it mean you have only the launcher on the disc , everything else is on their server!! lot a ppl say where they put the money ? they put it in the engine that they made! that's why every patch dl from the game itself!!

The Story line isn't the best story out there.... but the game is fun, so if you like it.. just buy the damn DLC :) I mean.. more raids.. who doesn't like that?
-
Disc Locked Content is the standard now. I was expecting it. $30 or whatever the price is is nothing to me. If you're worried about having to spend such a trivial amount I think you have bigger things to worry about.

My take away from watching only 10 minutes of this is, Dinklebot.

Just saw the vid and boy does this guy assume ssooo much. Pro tip for all you kids out there. Reddit is NOT a credible source of information. This guy tries so hard to convince and sway ppl to believe what he feels and not knows to be true that he sounds, at best, like a Jehovah's witness at your front door and, at worst, like a FOX news anchor. He does not approach the argument with an open mind and only thinks that evil circumstances are the reasons for Destiny's shortcomings. He may be right or wrong but he failed to mention that, during the game's development, Bungie lost approximately 40 staff members. Nor does he acknowledge the fact that coding a game is damn hard work. The DLC levels in the game may be there now but I don't see any public events or enemies or scripted events in them. Those aspects take way more time to create than an environment. And he also ignored the simple fact that aspects get cut from games ALL THE TIME. Did you know that the original enemies from The Last Of Us were supposed to be all female? However, I do agree with the morale of his story and that we should always be aware when buying games because, at its core, the gaming industry is a business like every other whose primary purpose is to make profit. But you should have known that way before Destiny came out. And, unfortunately, too many ppl will ignore this lesson and just listen to another rant and rage video.

I bought it then I had seksi time with your mom right on top of it

Edited by Adenomatous: 10/23/2014 3:42:52 PMI got all the dlc to spite you
-
Buy DLC, get more achievements, weapons, armor, and other swag. I don't see a real reason not to buy the DLC. Hell, I'm even playing this game still, unlike Gearboxe's aliens game, now that stuff was definitely a disappointment.
-
Boycott this damn dlc!!!!
-
Bumpppppppp
-
Each time I see one of these I want to buy a second.
-
So I just Bought the DLC. The main reason for this is, that I have so much fun playing it. ^_^
-
I just hope it don't turn out like the defiance dlc, which was recycled PVP areas, guns, gear and same missions with new names. Hopefully all dlc equipment starts at level 25 min and have a higher defence/attack rating when maxed out, say on gear its 50-100 more defence per item, weapons are say start at 300 and max out at 400 rating.
-
You realize that 1: The areas are not done 2: They weren't meant to be in the base game in the first place right? If you don't look into the entire picture, you fail.
